Man am I DEPRESSED looking at the consensus predictions.

Like all gay men, I could give a hoot about the men.  I care about actresses actressing!

And yet I see the same tired names predicted to win.  Danes/Marguiles. Dreyfuss. Janney. Gunn. Lange/Tyson.

So the only new women to win on Monday could be Julia Roberts/Alison Tolman?  And even than watch it go to Ellen Burstyn lol.

That is boring!  And it’s not like there are not worthy women in those categories who haven’t won.

Where have you gone Candice Bergen?  Your class and grace is needed these days!  Emmys have a crush on some of these gals that’s unhealthy.  Only thing that can stop it is to pull out!

Can anyone new pull off the strangle hold these 5-6 women have on these voters?  Kerry? Lizzy? Michelle? Taylor?  Amy? Kate? Minnie?

Man when are the Globes?  This is a nightmare that only the HFPA can save me from.

lol This thread clearly belongs in certain other awards viewing website…

Julia Robert was hamming it up in ‘The Normal Heart’. She took a few August: Osage Notes from Ms. Streep’s dinner scene it seems. Although this is one of the two interesting roles she’s played in her career.

I doubt all gay men only care about the actresses and not the actors……

COMEDY ACTRESS: Its between Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Melissa McCarthy, so no one new is winning here
COMEDY SUPPORTING ACTRESS: I’d say Kate Mulgrew has a real show at winning her first

DRAMA ACTRESS: I’m pretty sure its going to be Lizzy Caplan who wins here on Monday
DRAMA SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Anna Gunn will probably win her second

MOVIE/MINISERIES ACTRESS: I am still predicting Sarah Paulson to win her first
MOVIE/MINISERIES SUPPORTING ACTRESS: It will be either Frances Conroy, Julia Roberts or Allison Tolman who wins

Don’t forget Jodie Foster is going to win Comedy Directing

Drama Lead Actress – Could go to Robin Wright if buzz prevails over episode submissions. Could go to Lizzy Caplan if there’s room for an upset. But Danes winning her fourth or Margulies is winning her third.

Drama Supporting Actress – Repeat win by Gunn. But would you have it any other way?

Comedy Lead Actress – No chance for Poehler or Dunham to prevail over JLD winning her fifth or McCarthy winning her second.

Comedy Supporting Actress – Of the television categories, this is the only category where you might see new blood. The Creative Emmys showed me that they like Orange is the New Black. I would be thrilled if Kate Mulgrew pushed through to a win over Janney, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Movie/Mini Lead Actress – It would be lovely to see Paulson win, especially after her insulting loss last year. It would also be nice to see Driver win for her career-best performance (outside of The Riches, of course). But in the end, Tyson will prevail.

Movie/Mini Supporting Actress – Here’s where new blood will for sure be rewarded. It’s a tight race between Roberts and Tolman. I’m going with Roberts. Ironically, had Tolman gone Lead, a much less competitive category, she would have likely won. There’s even a chancen for the overdue-for-an-Emmy Conroy to perhaps jump ahead. But this is going to Roberts.

At least a newcomer was awarded at the Creative Emmys. Yaaaay, Uzo! Oh, and hey, as previously stated, you do get a win by Jodie Foster in Comedy Directing, which is nice.

The gay men bit was kind of itchy and unnecessary and I’m not even gay (had my little fun experiences during spin the bottle though but nothing life-changing). I hope Kate Mulgrew wins next Monday. Also, Lizzy Caplan.

Angela Bassett could pull off an Upset and win…

Kerry Washington might win too since Lead Drama Actress is pretty much up in the air

Kate Mulgrew has a pretty good chance to win over Allison for supp. comedy actress

I’m hoping Mulgrew and Tolman will win their first Emmys, but I’m only predicting the latter. I think they both have solid chances. Washington and Wright aren’t out of the question either.

I would love if Mama Conroy won.

But this will likely be the worst Emmys ever.  And how fitting seeing it is likely going to be the lowest rated.  People have caught on to the shady nature these awards are decided.
