No we won’t. Even if we would The Comedians wouldn’t be there.
    I’d say these three has the highest chances of getting in, in this exact same order;
    Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
    Transparent
    The Last Man on Earth
    Then maybe The Comedians.

TLMoE has no Emmy chance. If B99 couldn’t get in, neither can TLMoE.

TLMoE has no Emmy chance. If B99 couldn’t get in, neither can TLMoE.

TLMOE has better initial reviews than B99 did and the reception is getting better and better. It has notable names, Will Forte who is the star and creator of the show is an Emmy nominee who starred in a Best Picture nominee last year. January Jones is also an Emmy nominee who stars in  winner of four time Outstanding Drama Series Emmys. Kristen Schall is popular in the comedy community and was on Flight of the Concords (Comedy Series nominee) and the last two seasons of 30 Rock (3 time Comedy Series winner). And Mary Steenburgen who is an Emmy nominee and OSCAR winner.

It definitely is in the discussion for Comedy Actor and Directing and has shot in Series.

UKS and Transparent seem very close to series with the former very popular online right now and the other representing the comedy/drama show that seems to get in ever year. The Comedians so far doesn’t have the best of reviews and with Louie also on the channel is FX really going to get two comedy series nominations.TLMOE will struggle to get any nominations let alone a series nom.

Of the new comedy shows this year I would want You’re the Worst to have a chance but the little watched show will sadly be forgotten.

There is a possibility for this but I doubt it would be the three shows you have listed. The rule changes were obviously a direct pushback against online programming when they clearly want to reward network television. There will probably be a surprise nominee with Blackish, Fresh Off the Boat, or even Brooklyn 99 (because of that SAG nomination).

I don’t see Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt being nominated. Maybe? But idk, it seems just a little too campy and over-the-top for the Emmys. I could be wrong of course, though. I think Transparent has a really strong chance. If Grace and Frankie proves to be as good as many of us think that it will be-that could be our “surprise” #7. Its odds are the same as Parks & Rec for the Primetime Emmy predictions, which I don’t see getting back in because its only series nom was in 2011. It would be odd for voters to bring it back 4 years later. I could also see Blackish getting the 7th slot.

At this point, Transparent and Kimmy are going to get in. The Comedians is looking less likely. It’s probably going to have the Showtime effect and just get Crystal nominated plus some guest acting noms. Grace and Frankie is a possibility, but a trailer was to be expected by now. It might be a bomb for all we know. Last Man on Earth is too niche for voters and a lot have been saying it’s going downhill.

Most likely is Transparent, then Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has a fair chance, The Comedians may have a (very) slim chance as does Jane the Virgin which has been approved to compete as a comedy

I think Kimmy will make the cut for sure as will Transparent. The others….not as sure.

Definitely Transparent. I’m beginning to think Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt can make it in too…it’s the epitome of a word-of-mouth show gaining buzz and traction as more and more people hear their friends talking about it, memes circulating online, etc. It’s definitely not the type of comedy adored by the Emmys like Modern Family or Big Bang…but it has that campy, critical appeal that 30 Rock had.

TBD about The Comedians…from all the promos and stellar initial reviews, it certainly seems like a show that will be embraced by Emmy voters. Any show about the TV industry typically reaps several nominations.

I’d love to see 3 new shows in for Comedy Series, especially with it being expanded to 7! We need some new blood.

If there was any justice, You’re the Worst would be in the conversation.
