Practically every show gives us an awful episode somewhere along the way. What is the worst episode from a favorite show?
Here are a few of mine. Will add more later on.
I LOVE LUCY — “Lucy Goes to Scotland”
MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW — “Bess, You Is My Daughter Now”
DICK VAN DYKE SHOW — “The Twizzle”
SEINFELD — “The Non-Fat Yogurt”
LOST — “Stranger in a Strange Land”

I totally agree with “The Twizzle”! Here’s a few more:
How I Met Your Mother — “Slapsgiving 3: Slappointment in Slapmarra”
The Twilight Zone — “Cavender Is Coming”
Star Trek — “And the Children Shall Lead”
And any time a sitcom does a clip show, such as The Office’s “The Banker” or Malcolm in the Middle’s and The Simpson’s multiple atrocities. Not sure if they count exactly, but who on Earth actually likes them?!May 30, 2016 at 9:13 pm #1201842397
American Dad! – “The Vacation Goo”
Seinfeld – “The Mango”
The Simpsons – “Bart-Mangled Banner”May 31, 2016 at 1:38 am #1201842431
“Limbic Resonance” – Sense8
One of the best series I have ever watched, but the pilot episode doesn’t represent the rest of the season well.May 31, 2016 at 7:42 am #1201842523
Arrested Development- “Ready, Aim, Marry Me”.
Silicon Valley- “Two in the Box”.
The Office- “Angry Andy”.May 31, 2016 at 8:57 am #1201842543
“Roseambo” – RoseanneMay 31, 2016 at 9:28 am #1201842550
How I Met Your Mother – Bedtime StoriesMay 31, 2016 at 12:38 pm #1201842647
SNL definitely isn’t my favorite show, but I have watched them for at least a decade, and they are usually consistently funny…
However, their Donald Trump episode from last November was a complete and utter failure. Their Chris Rock show was also very very bad.May 31, 2016 at 7:54 pm #1201842819
The Golden Girls— “Mr. Terrific”.
Designing Women—“The Big Desk Pt. 1&2”–if only for the fact that they so hastily wrote out the Suzanne character and the poor and unfortunate infliction of the Allison character on everybody.May 31, 2016 at 8:34 pm #1201842831
Steven Universe “Say Uncle” The ONLY bad episode of the series, it was a crossover with another Cartoon Network show “Uncle Grandpa” that is thankfully non-canon. No, not an Adventure Time crossover, which Steven Universe creator Rebecca Sugar worked on herself before going on to create her own show, even though so many fans have been DEMANDING it!!! Apparently, not only was this obnoxious 11-minute long mess her idea, but she actually liked it! ;P Steven Universe is my #1 favorite TV show currently, maybe ever if can keep its visionary story going so amazingly. This is the only “Bad” one, and when you have over 80 episodes of a series, that’s still quite the accomplishment.
Rick and Morty “Inter-dimensional Cable 2: Tempting Fate” Boring story, nothing memorable in this one for me. A lesser version of a hilarious Season 1 episode Rixty Minutes IMO.
Malcolm In The Middle “Graduation” I thought it was a okay finale, but the fact Malcolm is okay with his family EXPECT him to become the freaking president pissed me off. And how long is Francis supposed to keep lying to Lois that “I don’t have a job!” The biggest crime was that it felt like such a brilliant SEASON finale, yet with still so much to be desired it couldn’t work for me as the SERIES finale. Disappointing, as someone who watched every episode of the show, and wanted it to go out on a slightly more conclusive, or at least more spectacular note.June 1, 2016 at 11:34 am #1201843013
The Leftovers- BJ and the ACJune 1, 2016 at 12:17 pm #1201843047
Game Of Thrones – “Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken”
Entire episode was a bowed, bent, broken mess. Dorne is boring in the books and on the show.
Shameless – ” Familia Supra Gallegorious Omnia”
No one words for this one.June 1, 2016 at 1:01 pm #1201843073
Favorite show: “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
Worst episode: “Older and Faraway.”
The episode “Beer Bad” is probably the most cited as the worst episode of “Buffy,” but that one didn’t bother me all that much. I thought the worst was the season six entry “Older and Faraway” in which all the characters are trapped in the house by a demonic force. Annoying, inconsistent characterizations all around.
Close second is “Pangs” from season four. “Buffy” was always a great allegory for bigger topics and experiences, but this Thanksgiving episode’s attempt to address violence against indigenous people was downright clumsy. The only thing good that came out of it was a lyric from the musical episode “Once More with Feeling”: “His penis got diseases from the Chumash tribe!”
