What if some cocky person tried to put the first few episodes (2 1-hour long ones, or 1 2-hour season premiere) of a popular show in the theatres for a limited engagement? Would this be a good idea? I thought about this while having dinner tonight.
They do this for test screening (usually FOX). They did the Tuesday night line up with The Grinder, Grandfathered, and Scream Queens this year. I couldn’t go but it seems interesting
Would it be before it airs on T.V. or after. If it’s after, their would be no point to spend the money to put it in theaters because nobody would go. Before it airs could get some interest depending on the show.
I say why not show an entire season of a Tv series on a theater screen. Obviously most seasons are too long but if it’s a show with only ten episodes a season why not.
