they have them at the daytime emmys and they are eligible until there 25 don’t you think they should have them for primetime?
I feel they absolutely should. The entire premise of many primetime shows is built on or around one or several younger performer(s), such as Modern Family, Two and a Half Men, or The Middle, and those are only a few of the applicable comedies without even going into drama, etc.. I think if the Primetime Emmys, just for these younger actor/actress categories, were to combine comedy, drama, with perhaps even TV movie/miniseries, all into one category, they’d definitely find a worthy group of five or six nominees. They could honor the winners at the Creative Arts Ceremony much like they do for the Guest Actors, if there is concern over the show running too long on time if these categories were to be awarded at the main Emmys ceremony.
The majority of child actors can’t even act. So, no. Not a good idea, imo.

All of you guys complain about MF dominating, but child actor categories would probably work in MF’s favor…
