Are there any musicals or plays you’d like to see revived, or any off-Broadway musicals or plays you’d like to see transferred to Broadway in the near future?

    Transfer from London:

    Shakespeare in Love the play
Skylight revival (I kinda wish Kate Winslet would do this so she could finally get a Tony)

    Revivals:

Me and My Girl (Gavin Creel + Sutton Foster please)

    2) Love Story
    3) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
    4) The Duck House

    MUSICALS (in no particular order):

    Falsettos

    City of Angels

    Grand Hotel

Parade (scaled down but still with bigger orchestra and with the Reporter role intact)

    The Music Man

    1776

    PLAYS:

    Love! Valour! Compassion!

    In The Boom Boom Room

Most of Neil Simon’s old plays (Lost in Yonkers, or slightly less common ones like I Ought to Be in Pictures)

Seriously, what is stopping a Broadway production of “The Last Five Years” from happening? It’s an acclaimed, beloved, popular musical (how many off-Broadway musicals get film adaptations?) that has already been successfully produced off-Broadway multiple times. Aaron Tveit and Cristin Milioti are literally sitting there waiting to play the two lead roles.

If they would stop dragging out those two old wool coats ” La Cage Aux Folles ” and ” Gypsy ” every two seconds,
I think ” The Miracle Worker ” and ” Anne Of A Thousand Days ” would be great choices. ” Anne Of A Thousand Days “
would have to be re-imagined – blank verse included.

Would love to see a Broadway production of the West End cult hit “The In-Between” put on. Jessie Mueller and Lilla Crawford would be perfect.

Annie Get Your Gun (Sutton Foster would be terrific!)

    She Loves Me

    Candide

    John And Jen

I also agree with  The Music Man and Parade  being revived, as well as My Fair Lady and Hello Dolly, the latter preferably with Audra playing Dolly.

I have been waiting for so long for Bernstein’s Candide to get a revival that I can go see on Broadway!  The New York Philharmonic’s revival with Kristin Chenoweth doesn’t count.

Spring Awakening! Never got to see it because I was too young when it was big. Would love the opportunity to see such a groundbreaking, controversial, and relevant show.

My friend in England said good things about “Here Lies Love” (Not a clue what its about and not really caring to look), and the revival of Cats. So I;m guessing one of those should reach the US soon.
