Figured I might as well compile another list of eligible actors!
Here’s what Ive come up with for featured actor in a muscial.

    Bobby Steggert, Big Fish
    Brad Oscar, Big Fish
    Dule Hill, After Midnight
    Jake Epstein, Beautiful
    Jarrod Spector, Beautiful
    James Monroe Iglehart, Aladdin
    Jonathan Freeman, Aladdin
Hunter Foster, Bridges of Madison County
    Terence Archie, Rocky
    Anthony Rapp, If/Then
    James Snyder, If/Then
    Andy Mientus, Les Miserables
    Kyle Scatliffe, Les Miserables
    Cliff Saunder, Les Miserables
    Vincent Pastore, Bullets Over Broadway
    Brooks Ashmanskas, Bullets Over Broadway
    Nick Cordero, Bullets Over Broadway
    Danny Burstein, Cabaret
    Bill Heck, Cabaret
    Colin Donnell, Violet
    Joshua Henry, Violet

My crazy early in the game picks: James Monroe Iglehart, Joshua Henry, Danny Burstein, Nick Cordero, and Andy Mientus.

With no competition at this moment again I could see it going to a Cabaret actor. Burstein would be on his fifth nomination and at this moment there seems to be no one standing in his way which would be great to see him rewarded if it could happen.

Love this list but could you change the title to Potential Nominees for Featured Actor in a MUSICAL? (:

Wild guesses: Ashmanskas, Burstein, Iglehart, Rapp and Snyder

I’m rooting for Dule Hill. Haven’t seen the musical but I am a huge Psych fan.

ugh Im an idiot. Was working on a list for featured in a play, and accidentally titled this one as such instead of muscial. =/
Sorry guys, sometimes the things Im multitasking bleed into one another. Is it possible to change a forum title? not seeing an option for it.

Hey, Sam. If you go back to your original post at the top of the thread and hit “Edit Post”, it should give you the opportunity to change the thread title as well.

Danny Burstein and Brooks Ashmanskas seem like the easiest calls at this point. The supporting categories are always tough cause a lot of it depends on those late openers, obviously.

I think James Snyder has a good shot at a nomination. He’s funny and warm, has great chemistry with Idina and does a killer job delivering a big solo to his unborn child.

Danny Burstein wins by default – a weak year for featured musical performances. I can see two featured wins for Cabaret this year for Burstein and Emond if they pull it out of the bag.

Based on word of mouth during previews, James Snyder for If/Then might be a strong contender… Anthony Rapp too. And of course, the men from Bullets Over Broadway we have to wait and see…. too soon to tell! (fun to speculate though!)

With the reviews of Aladdin, unless Burstein receives raves, this is Iglehart’s award to lose.

There are a few others who might compete: Anthony Rapp, James Snyder, Nick Cordero, Joshua Henry, Danny Burstein… I found Iglehart’s reviews to be on the milder side, not really raves, at least the reviews I have read so far… btw, I loved Bobby Steggert’s performance in Big Fish – don’t think he will make the final list but I love him in everything he does! (:

Everything I’ve read about Iglehart sounds like Tony winner to me. Most of the reviews begin with comments on him and that “Friend Like Me” is the best sequence in the show.
