Last of the actor lists! Featured females, go:

Ashley Williams, A Time to Kill
Tonya Pinkins, A Time to Kill
    Victoria Clark, Snow Geese
    Celia Keenan-Bolger, The Glass Menagerie
    Jayne Houdyshell, Romeo and Juliet
Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, The Winslow Boy
    Tracy Shayne, Bronx Bombers
    Suzanne Bertish, Machinal
    Dearblha Molloy, Outside Mullingar
Anika Noni-Rose, A Raisin in the Sun
Sophie Okonedo, A Raisin in the Sun
Leighton Meester, Of Mice and Men
    Ingrid Craigie, Cripple of Inishmaan
    Sarah Greene, Cripple of Inishmaan
    Gillian Hanna, Cripple of Inishmaan
    Andrea Martin, Act One
    Lisa Emery, Casa Valentina
    Mare Winningham, Casa Valentina

This to me, seems the most open race of all the acting categories. Let me know if I’ve left anyone off so I can add them.

I can see this being the easiest of The Glass Menaferie wins. Keenan-Bolger shows her range going from musicals to a straight play

My crazy way too early prediction!

Victoria Clark, Ingrid Craigie, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Leighton Meester and Dearbhla Molloy. I think Celia Keenan-Bolger will win the Tony.

Yesterday, Sarah Greene received an Olivier award nomination for The Cripple of Inishmaan – could a Tony nominmation be in her future as well?

Wow, what a change from last year’s brutally competitive cateogry. At least 2-3 of the actresses who didn’t make the cut last year would easily make the list of nominees this year.

This is a difficult category to predict – there are some wild cards, esp. Lisa Emery and Mare Winningham, since previews of Casa Valentina haen’t started yet. I think Celia Keenan-Bolger is the clear front-runner. Sarah Greene’s fiery performance in The Cripple Of Inishmaan will make the list of nominees. Re-reading the (mixed-to-negative) reviews of the Snow Geese, Victoria Clark got the strongest reviews from that closed play. Anika Noni Rose is getting the strongest reactions from previews of A Raisin In The Sun (with praise for Sophie Okenedo as well). Dearbhla Molloy got good notices for Outside Mullinger. Word of mouth indicates that Leighton Meester delivers her big scene really well in Of Mice and Men. I’ve noticed advanced word on Andrea Martin seems mixed. Subject to change: Victoria Clark, Sarah Greene, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Anika Noni Rose, and, based solely on her reputation, Mare Winningham, seem likely nominees at this point…

Truly puzzled: I thought for certain this race was between SArah Greene and Celia Keenan-Bolger (who I predict to win) but now both the OCC and Drama League have snubbed both actresses – so surprised! Is it possible that neither will get a nomination? Cripple hasn’t been getting much love for its acting (albeit Radcliffe made it onto the Drama League list), really strange. Perhaps the Drama Desk will correct this strange situation….

Strange snubs like this happen every year but I believe that Bolger will still be nominated although I’m not so confident on Greene getting in. The nominees I think are Bolger, Martin, Okonedo, Rose and Winningham.
