I'm actually hoping for a hard-hitting 1-2 punch of Stronger, then Dark Side. Obviously, not the entirety of both songs, but maybe she'll start with the bridge of Stronger and head into Dark Side...or, vice versa.

Looks like you got your wish:

http://www.billboard.com/news/kelly-clarkson-to-premiere-dark-side-at-1007101752.story#/news/kelly-clarkson-to-premiere-dark-side-at-1007101752.story

Kelly Clarkson will premiere her new single "Dark Side" at the Billboard Music Awards Sunday in a mashup with "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)." The singer, now 10 years and five albums removed from her season one victory in "American Idol," provided that detail Thursday while in Los Angeles doing interviews to promote ABC's summer singing competition "Duets."

"We've already shot a video and I'll be doing it on 'Dancing With the Stars,'" Clarkson told Billboard. "Dark Side" will be sent to radio on Monday and her label, RCA, will go for adds on June 4.

Also, at the end of that article she did a Q&A with them, and the last question made me laugh.
Yes, I do believe she's in love, haha Hug

Are you happy now?

I love that I am in a relationship and that I have time for it. But I'm writing all this happy shit. It's killing me. I'm trying to write a tough song and it's coming out butterflies and rainbows.

She is also performing DS on the finale of DWTS on Tuesday night.

She better do good. Kelly is the only reason why I am watching this joke of awards show.

I'm not sure if she is doing a medley of Stronger and DS now. Someone at rehearsals today said she only sang DS, so maybe whoever wrote that piece on BillBoard mixed up DWTS & the awards show, because I think she is doing the medley on DWTS for sure.

Nothing wrong with her performance, but seeing her sing this song live, I'm worried about this song's commercial viability. I could be wrong, but I don't think it came off well. It didn't help that the audio mix wasn't great and you couldn't hear her vocals very well.  It all came off as very "meh".
I started thinking, how fun would it be if she was performing "Hello" or "I Forgive You" right now.

She did look freakin gorgeous though from top to bottom.

I wasn't crazy about the way the song came across in that performance, either.  I think it came off as very flat and boring, when the song itself is anything but. Could have been the arrangement, or the fact that Kelly was stationary. For whatever reason, she always seems to go the conservative route at awards shows. I'd like to see her leave the comfort zone and really engage the audience like she does at her concerts. When they panned the audience at the end of her performance, people looked like they were bored. The staging for the performance gave off the impression that she'd be singing a ballad (would have been great for BOY or AG) . The long gown, the lighting fixtures etc....not suited for Dark Side IMO.

She needs to be more active and engaging with these performances and not just stand there like she's been doing recently. I loved her performances in 2005, she danced and sang getting the audience off their feet.

I agree Kelly seems to hold back at some of these high profile events. But DS was never going to be the type of song to get people off their feet ala SUBG at the 2005 VMA's. But it could've had more life to it than it did. She sounded great though and looked stunning!!

I don't think that Kelly had to jump around in order to interact with the audience more. I think the 2005 VMA performance is an extreme example. Even just the ability to move around would have done wonders. Dark Side is a rock ballad with a bombastic sing-a-long chorus. All of the textures and layers of the song (the music box opening, the exploding chorus, the vocal acrobatics in the bridge) were all sort of one-note in this performance. Kelly looked and sounded really strong. I'm blaming the flattness on staging and arrangment.

Here's a little peak behind the scenes of Kelly's upcoming "Dark Side" video. It's looking good! And Kelly is so freakin' cute I can't even take it!

The Dark Side video has been released, it is probably her best from this era, but it is still far from great.  The images are way too literal and once again Kelly just stands and sings, although it is probably more effective in the context of this song.  I'm glad they decided to use more footage of Kelly without make-up in a plain t-shirt (she looks stunning), rather than the green dress mess that makes her look like an extra from Star Trek.  I'm still hoping this song catches fire, because it is honestly her riskiest single, especially in the last few years.

Tonight is DUETS, hopefully the show will be a fun summer diversion, but I'm trying to curb my enthusiasm because the previews look less than stellar.

I'm not too crazy about the "Dark Side" video, but Kelly does look BEAUTIFUL in it. I still think the "Mr. Know It All" video is her best one from this era, though "Stronger" is fun. Regardless, I hope "Dark Side" smashes. I'm so happy that she's been doing lots of promo, and hopefully 'Duets' only adds to her successes so far this era. If "Dark Side" smashes like "Stronger" did, she'll have the Pop Song & Pop Album Grammys locked up.
