I'm a big fan of Nelly's, but don't like this song at all. Her voice sounds bad, and it's a little too urban/slow for 2012, no? Sounds like something from five years ago. |

I can't picture this song (based on a limited clip) tearing up the radio like her singles from Loose did. If she's aiming to get back into having mainstream success, then I don't think this is the way to go. I'm still interested in hearing the entire track. |

Here's the full track... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kj5p2T3a9A&feature=related It's interesting... I really like Rodney Jerkins' production, but I thoroughly dislike the autotune. At certain points it's almost as annoying as listening to the chipmunks. It's not a very good lead off single, but hopefully there's much more to the album. Her albums usually contain various musical styles, so I'm still very much looking forward to the album, but here's to hoping that this song gets her back on the charts and the next single is something special like "Like A Bird" or "Say It Right", two very different songs that defined two very different eras. |

....eh Idk....I don't like the autotune either. I hate when these artists use it when they don't need it. Not to mention this song is to urban for someone of Nelly's satire. She'll never be able to top "Say it Right", One of my favorite tracks by her! |

Often times on these boards, we make excuses when an artist drops a less-than-stellar lead single by saying things like "I bet the album has more to offer" or "This could be a grower". I don't think Nelly should get that easy of a pass from us. She's been gone for six years (essentially). She needs to drop a hot potato for her first single. If she isn't bringing FIRE than she can kiss plans for a big comeback goodbye. I think the track is extremely average for someone who needs to be rocking fire. The autotune is too much, and frankly, this sounds dated about four years. Not current at all. |

Meh. Though I'd take this over everything that's in the top 10. |

True, but I'm not giving her a pass. I'm still genuinely looking forward to her whole album. The autotune murders this song for me... She's so high pitched the whole song. It's really bad and disappointing. Also, it's not like she was exclusively working on this for 6 years. She put out the Spanish language 'Mi Plan' and toured for that as well. She's kept herself busy. |

I just downloaded the song on iTunes and its the first time hearing it. My verdict: This track sounds hot and fresh. I'm liking it on first listen. I don't mind the autotune. |

The song is certainly better than current stuff on the radio, but it will have to grow on me. The "Oh wooow" part is pretty strong however. On another note I have been listening to Loose a lot lately, and I must say I can't believe she didn't release "Wait For You" as a single. That song sounds so fresh and hot with its production and her vocals. |

"Big Hoops" is growing on me, and on the iTunes version the autotune isn't quite as severe. I agree with Miss Frost, "Wait For You" would've been a bangin' single. It's a standout on what's already a great album. |

Let's face it.... Nelly Furtado is done commercially. I doubt "Big Hoops" (or whatever it's called) is a big hit for her. She should've released another English album back in 2008. People probably have forgotten all about her. |

I'm glad you like the song as well, thought I was the only one haha. Yeah after giving that album continuous listens, it really is a fantastic album and one of her best IMO. Ugh don't want to resort to buying the song though, I'm a fan but that song is not that good to pay 1.99 or whatever for. |

The whole song is exactly what I expected. It sounds dated as hell. I can't imagine this doing well. I don't even want to hear it again. I wish she would team up with her original producers from her first album. |

I like the song, reminds me of On the Radio ( Remember the days). I love she did what she wants and didn´t jump on RedOne, Guetta, Benny Benassi or other messy bandwagons. As a fan, I don´t care if she has another Folklore here in terms of sales. |
