I can't see The Good Wife going, the emmys will have one network drama and inspite of its less steady third season it will still be nominated. What's to say Downton Abbey is safe, or even Broadwalk Empire?

I really don't know whether or not HBO will push Boardwalk or Game of Thrones. Boardwalk won a plethora of Emmys last year and won every SAG it was nominated for this year, but Game of Thrones is much more well-liked and there would be a lot of people angry if it was snubbed.

Interesting that both Claire Danes and Damian Lewis are considering other episodes than what others would consider obvious choices (the pilot for her and the season finale for him). Both are considering "The Weekend" episode if it were left up to them. So if the scenario is the actors choosing instead of Showtime/other parties, look for them to go w/that.

The Pilot is not the episode she should submit. However, if either one submits The Weekend they be hoping that the pure excellence of the episode and their ability to perform the material so well isn't the worst idea in the world. And The Vest and Marine One could possibly alienate voters as it is two of their more out there episodes as a whole. Even if they both give winning caliber performances.

I can just see the Julianna Margulies comparisons coming a mile away if by inexplicable reason she were to lose, but I don't see that happening. She is the only way to reward the show.

" The Weekend" is a better tape for Danes than " Threesome" was for Margulies in 2010 when she got upset.  By far.
