![]() Looks like The King's Speech + My Week With Marilyn. The Academy will probably eat this up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQaScjiWDyY Normally love Linney's low-key work, but the narration is really annoying. Murray looks solid and could potentially charm the pants off the Academy. The Olivias (Williams + Colman) look good. Think the former looks like she could be nominated. |

Everything in this trailer was a bore with the exception of Bill Murray, who looks like he can breathe awards fire with this vehicle (he'll have to go up against Day-Lewis and The Master guys though). The rest of this movie just looks like a 100% snorefest.

Bill Murray looks and sounds awful as FDR..i dont think much of him as an actor so he will really ahve to prove himself to me..Linney and the other Olivia's will be fine ..but this does look extremely light in the vein of My Week With Marilyn. I am certain there will be academy love in a few categories, but not sure about any wins |

I thought that actually looked pretty funny. Wouldn't count against this doing very well with older audiences. |

I adore Bill and my fingers are crossed for him. Best of luck. George and Elizabeth again. Y'all know I'd go see it just for this. The Sunne in Splendour; I prefer my Roses White |

bump, it premiered yesterday at Telluride Reactions haven't been very enthusiastic. Here is Kris Tappley's review: http://www.hitfix.com/in-contention/laura-linney-returns-to-telluride-with-hyde-park-on-hudson Pretty much everyone is saying it's not that great a movie. Thoughts? |

It looks pretty great. I hate to judge a performance based on a trailer, but Linney does not look like an Oscar winner for me. Sorry. But as @rocksituation said, the Olivias looks great in this! They both can make it, I guess!

Reactions on Twitter are mellow. Scott Feinberg says it's a bore and it's the Bill Murray show, with Oscar prospects being limited to him.

Yeah. I have to take my comment back about the Oscar chances. The Olivias are out as well as I'm reading the reactions.

Not sure why, but this film really appeals to me. I saw a trailer awhile back and its charm really upped my anticipation level. |

I think that if the film is weak, then it won't gain many nominations, maybe not even Bill Murray as lead actor as it is highly competitive. Lead actress seems a different story altogether. Wallis is too young, Knightley isn't appealing, Cotillard, Hunt & Streep ain't getting another oscar and Linney is loved by the academy, best manifested with her surprise nomination for The Savages, beating Jolie for A mighty heart. Linney could win this, especially since Gatsby being pushed back removes Mulligan from the race. Her biggest threats, though unlikely, come from Won't Back Down either through Gyllenhaal or Davis, but mainly from Anne Hatheway, should she switch to lead for Les Miserables. |

Knightley is earning good (not Pride and Prejudice-level, but better than Atonement) reviews for Anna K, and Cotillard is receiving her best reviews since La Vie en Rose. Linney also sounds like her role is supporting here (reviews say Bill Murray totally owns the film), but we won't know until we see the film ourselves. In this weak year, Linney could pull off a nomination but a win will be an uphill battle, especially with the notices she is receiving.
