SOD is confirming that despite other reports, they are hearing that Younger Actor & Younger Actress categories will in fact be part of the regular Emmy telecast along with all the other major soap categories.

It will not be part of the Creative Arts Emmy telecast as previously reported.

A second instance of fan outcry having a positive effect on soaps today!  I would have hated to see this cut from the main show.

CONGRATULATIONS DAYS OF OUR LIVES!  Returning from the "dead" in Best Drama Series after 38 years in the grave and going strong for Emmy 2014!

According to SOD, many of the nominees complained and threatened not to even show up...that was a major reason why it was put back in the main show.

Good for those actors/actresses who complained...talk about being treated like crap by NATAS.

There actually has to be a somewhere whether online or broadcast to call it a telecast.  Right now they are referring to it as a banquet.

This is the same category that garnered wins for Anne Heche, Julianne Moore, and Sarah Michelle Gellar. NATAS should want these categories televised, if for no other reason than to say "We recognized their great acting long before the Oscars, Globes, and Primetime Emmys came along." Gah, it's so annoying when they make idiot-moves like this. I want to head up a meeting with the folks that think stuff like this is a good idea and simply say, "Look, people. Have we forgotten what we're here to celebrate? DAYTIME TELEVISION. So while you may think it's a good idea to bump two of the most prestigious categories of the night to the Creative Emmys so we can make room for an advertisement of some sort, it's not. Get your sh!t together and lets give the hardworking community of daytime a night of accolades they deserve."

My biggest worry: Will DirecTV, my cable-television provider, finally deliver Headline News in high definition?
