Christoph Waltz is going to appear in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained later this Winter. According to critics who have seen previews, he should be preparing for another long awards season. He would have to top Leonardo DiCaprio, but there seems to be a good chance that Waltz may be winning his second Oscar next year. If this happens, would Waltz become the first person to win his/her second Oscar, in the same category, in the second consecutive film made by the same director (he previously won Best Supporting Actor in Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds on his first nomination)? He will also (currently) be the only male actor to be undefeated at the Oscars.

^^^Can you give us those critics' reviews. Because I doubt anyone had any real, edited footage. Filming is still in the rough stages.
The best album of the year so far. "Past Gone" is the best song of the year as well. Check out Mike Stud's debut album on iTunes. |

There are dozens of strong lead actor performances in major films coming out between now and December. One blogger's musings do not a winner make.

A lots of if's in this scenario, Trent. Too early to speculate. Methinks the buzz is still with Leo. |

I don't expect Waltz to win it, but if he's as good as Sepinwall says he is he could do it. But it is early and for all we know, Django could be a huge flop.

"...if he's as good as Sepinwall says he is he could do it. ..." But, it doesnt matter how good or great he is does it? When, has that mattered? Regardless, he has an uphill climb with the "spread the wealth" communist voters and others who "want to give someone else who hasnt won a chance"

"Communist"? Really? In the Academy? I always thought it was a millionaire and billionaire's club myself. BTW, in USA, at least in educated environs, it is usually considered an embarrassment to sound like Joseph McCarthy. |

Yes, he is undefeated. This whole post is wrong. It's all based off of one review of a PREVIEW. The best album of the year so far. "Past Gone" is the best song of the year as well. Check out Mike Stud's debut album on iTunes. |
