Drama showrunners was a good panel. Last year's panel was livelier and more engaging though. I think I could listen to Terence Winter talk for hours, if the subject's mostly about "The Sopranos." That's the first time I've seen or heard Glen Mazzara or Veena Sud before. Veena Sud in particular came off surprisingly composed and articulate whenever questions came her way. The panel could have really gone in after her for "The Killing" backlash, which seems to have humbled her quite a bit from the pompous things she said after the finale aired last season. Maybe now she gets the precarious position she finds herself in for her series next season b/c of her missteps. Howard Gordon seems to have a laid-back and refreshing view about things in general that I appreciated. Same for Vince Gilligan. That's the first time I'd heard him speak too, since he never gets to say anything at awards shows. Shonda Rhimes gave her usual roundabout and equivocal answers. Whatever to her. Looking forward to the next panel roster very much.

THR's Comedy Showrunners piece mentions an actor's roundtable that Ed Helms apparently took part in. Sounds like a different session from the LAT one |
