I'd luv to share your views with them ... so please speak up and pipe in here in this forum thread. SHOWTIME MONDAY, June 11, Noon to 1 p.m. PT (3-4 p.m. ET) WHERE: GoldDerby.com home page ![]() |

Aaron Paul = "End Times" (Quite a bit of screen time, emotion, range, impact, empathy, etc.) or "Problem Dog" (Less screen time, emotion, range, impact, empathy, etc.) Kaley Cuoco = "The Recombination Hypothesis" (100th Episode; Great chemistry with Johnny Galecki) * In case you reference me, the "y" in Sydel is pronounced like an "i". Thanks. |

Nicole PLANNED to do our show live, but that was when she thought she'd be back in the U.S. Turns out she decided to stay in Sydney for a while longer, so she couldn't do the show because of timing. Noon our time in LA is 5 a.m. in Sydney. So I ended up chatting with her last Sunday via skype in a recorded video I'll post in the next few days. "Derby Talk" ends in a few weeks -- when Emmy voting for nominees concludes at the end of June. it was an experiment that turned out to be hugely successful. Viewership was massive. Our coproducing partner, Ustream, pumped up promotion as did the TV networks and production companies whose stars participated in our new show. Our ad sponsor, Sony Pictures TV (which produces "Breaking Bad," "Community," "Happy Endings," etc.) was very happy with the quality of the program. That leads me to believe that we'll reboot it once nominations come out, but we'll need to find a sponsor. It's an expensive show to produce because we rent a high-end TV studio and hire a topnotch producer to pull it all together. Assuming we find a sponsor to pick up "Derby Talk" after noms come out, I'll invite Nicole to return, this time to do a live chat. She told me that she really loves Gold Derby. I have a hunch she'll do it. BTW, we also plan to do some more ambitious webcast programs too. So ... stay tuned, as we say in the TV biz, my dear Derbyites. ![]() |

Tom... Goldderby absolutely ROCKS!!! Thank you for "tracking the emmy race" for the past few months and keep doing those Slugfests, that's what we're here for! Looking forward to the Nicole interview, I really loved her on Hemingway and Gellhorn and deserving of the win even though I thought Game Change was more "solid" as a TV movie. |
