Grammy producer Ken Erhlich is a HUGE fan of Gold Derby and hangs out here all the time. Last week he chatted with us on video about what happened behind the scenes when he had to retool the Grammycast to respond to Whitney Houston's death plus something else that really bugs him -- why the Emmys fail to recognize the Grammycast with a top award for best program. The Oscars and Tonys take turns winning that Special Class category every year. The Grammys have never won it and rarely even get nominated. I did not know that the Grammy's have never won that award. That is a shame. They REALLY deserved to win for the 51st and DEFINITELY the 52nd Grammy Awards. Those were fantastic years!! |

I really hope they do, year after year, Grammy's is the most well-produced, well executed and most exciting Award show on TV. It features so many live performances and technical areas which I assume are just a nightmare to put together. They really captured a moment of history this year and I think should win.
