"Mad Men" has never lost the race for Best Drama Series, having prevailed for four years in a row. If it wins again, it will set a new record for most victories of any drama series in TV history. Which TV rival has the best shot at STOPPING the 'Mad Men' streak? And please explain WHY you think so.
Breaking Bad or Homeland. Breaking Bad probably has the best shot because the new season will be airing during the voting period. And the last three seasons have been deserving of at least one series win. Homeland seems to have the buzz and the episode of the year in many people's minds. I don't love it as much as others but I would be OK with Homeland dethroning Mad Men. I also think the perception and following for Breaking Bad has changed so drastically and in a good way since '08 that this kind of has to be the year after missing out last year due to scheduling.
There was no better drama than Breaking Bad this season, period. If Homeland wins, it will be because the terrorism factor will win more voters, and that wouldn't be fair. So, Breaking Bad it is.
Jake M. Johnson, New Girl - Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series Jonathan Banks, Breaking Bad - Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series Michael Cudlitz, Southland - Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series
Homeland would be a very deserving winner and Breaking Bad would be good too. I also can see Game of Thrones competing this year. But, now that I have caught up, Mad Men is the best drama of the season. It has maintained high quality in all 5 of it's seasons, especially this one, and it should win.
The best album of the year so far. "Past Gone" is the best song of the year as well. Check out Mike Stud's debut album on iTunes.
