Thanks for posting this, Boidiva!  Mine was 1 for like a week, and now it's gone up to 3.  If I were at 105, I'd probably be freaking out, in a paranoid Twilight Zone sort of way.

I thought it was notifications when your friends make posts or there is something new to predict but I just deleted them all and it stills says 76.  There also is a glitch when alerting you to a PM.  Mine tells me I have a message when I send something to someone but not when they send one to me.

I think you're right. I have over 1100 of them so, time to scan and delete. I think the number increases daily because the numbers are for that day, and then accumulates.
But who knows?

Yeah, I think it's notifications too, but as you said even after I delete them the number never changes...   And yes, I've noticed that too with the messages.
