For me Mo'Nique put up one of the best suporting performances. I really loved Whoopi Goldberg, Cate Blanchett, Catherine Zeta Jones, Hattie MacDaniel, Sandy Dennis, Macia Gay Harden, and of course Meryl Streep's performances. |

Why the heck is Tatum O'Neal on here? If you're gonna choose a child actress, pick the one who actually acted and throw Anna Paquin up there. Regardless, my vote goes to Mo'Nique. |

I'm not sure. But, I'm willing to wager it has nothing to do with politics. Estelle Parsons. Cloris Leachman Eileen Heckart Mary Steenburgen Jane Darwell Dianne Wiest Anna Paquin Rachel Weisz Hattie McDaniel Ruth Gordon Whoopie Goldberg Marisa Tomei Guess I like most of the winners. The Sunne in Splendour; I prefer my Roses White |

My top five aren't on this list :( my vote will go to Hattie McDaniel. Maggie Smith? Marcia Gay Harden? Dianne Wiest? Linda Hunt? Sandy Dennis? Without looking at a complete list, I think those are my top five.. |

What an odd list to choose from??? My Top 5 1 - Monique 2 - Patty Duke 3 - Claire Trevor 4 - Ruth Gordon 5 - Penelope Cruz With special mentions going to Meryl, Tatum, Whoopi, Juliette, Cloris and Shelley for A Patch of Blue. I suspect Jane Darwell should be in my Top 5 but it's been such a long time since I've seen it I can't be certain. Whilst all of these performances are amazing there have been some absolutely shocking wind in this category. |
