Since there seems to be a trillion similar threads in the Oscars forums, I might as well bring it here to the Grammys forum.

Which AOTY Winner Should Have Their Grammy Revoked?

Should it be one of the albums above or something else I forgot to nominate? Discuss below!

The Dixie Chicks in early 2007-To me, they had a lot of nerve making fun of the music that they got their start in and if they didn't like that others in that music had the right to point out that they do not agree with what the group chose to stand for, then the group never should have started in that music, especially if the leader of the group never liked that music in the first place.

God bless you always!!!

Listen to my most favorite male singer here sometime y'all! His name is James Otto!

It's so easy to pick the Grammys because music is "subjective" and a lot crap has been rewarded. Yup, call me elitist, but I'm including the precious Tay Swift under "crap".

Here's a list of sins that have been committed and how they can be absolved.
Can't Slow Down ---> Purple Rain
Unplugged --> Achtung Baby
Falling Into You --> Odelay, or Mellen Collie
Two Against Nature --> Kid A
River the Joni Letters --> Back to Black
Fearless -->( God damn it, that entire line up is crap) None.
Genius Loves Company --> American Idiot.

Why is Fearless on this list? That album is actually well made and better than the crap against it.

Godawful wins and Godawful albums that somehow got nominated:

Nick of Time needs to give it to the un-nominated Like a Prayer
Falling Into You needs to give it to any of the other four
O Brother, Where Art Thou? Soundtrack needs to give it to any of the other four
Genius Loves Company needs to give it to any of the other four
How to Dismantle an Atom Bomb needs to give it to Late Registration
Taking the Long Way needs to give it to Stadium Arcadium
River: The Joni Letters needs to give it to Back to Black

I think that Bonnie Raitt's Nick Of Time should be given to the shockingly not nominated Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814.

Celine Dion. Now that was an easy pick, wasn't it? I mean, the woman beat Beck, Fugees and Smashing Pumpkins. For an album that gave us an eternity suffering through "Because You Loved Me". So easy to hate that win. I don't even have to try!

Can't Slow Down ---> Purple Rain

You know, for the longest time, I thought "Purple Rain" had won AOTY. When I found out it didn't, I was shocked. I couldn't believe it. That album was too undeniable to be beat, in my mind. But it did happen. I still don't understand why, but it did.

It is easy to understand why Can't Slow Down by Lioned Richie won for 1984.  This was the best category due to the line up of Tina Turner, Prince, Cyndi Lauper, Bruce Springsteen and Lionel Richie.

I personally was rooting for Tina Turner, but there could have been vote splitting between Tina Turner and Prince resulting in a win by Lioned Richie.  However, Lionel did have some hits (Running With The Night, Penny Lover, Hello, All Night Long and Hello)  that were released from this album and I do not consider this the worst Album of the Year winner.  That should be reserved for Herbie Hancock and Steely Dan.

Lionel, only because of the other nominees. Those albums are all defining moments in music, and still highly regarded. Grammy, of course, went with the blandest choice. And I like Lionel, a fella Alabama guy, but he was way outclassed that year.

Lionel Ritchie. Only because he was the weakest choice of a GREAT line-up and his album (outside of a few gems and classics songs there) is overrated as hell.

Taylor Swift was not a great choice either but I prefer a win by her rather one by the Black Eyed Peas or Beyonce.

"Genius Loves Company" needed to be included here. I would have handed that win to either Green Day for "American Idiot" or Kanye for "The College Dropout."

As much as I love Tina Turner, "Purple Rain" is on a league of its own. Same thing with Lauper, a good album but simply not as good as Prince's. I love Springsteen, but I have to be honest, that I don't think "Born In The U.S.A." is one of his best albums, even though it left a huge mark. It would still be my second choice in this line-up though.

1- Prince

2- Springsteen
3- Turner
4- Lauper

5- a cold winter in hell

666- Lionel Ritchie

Fearless doens't desrve to be on this list. It was competing against total and utter GARBAGE and totally deserved the win out of that particular lineup. Don't hate the player, hate the game. That was a terrible year for AOTY (Black Eyed Peas and Beyonce nominations were laughable).

I personally hated the AOTY wins for How to Dismantle and Atomic Bomb and Genious Loves Company.  These wins represented a stagnant NARAS, and I think spoke volumes about how willing they were to grow and evolve along with the industry.

At the time, Two Against Nature's win bothered me (over the masterful Marshall Mathers LP) but I've since realized that Steely Dan had an awsome record and probably were just as deserving.
