I have said that Hugh Laurie was robbed by not being nominated in Season 2 of House. If he had been nominated, and submitted "No Reason", I really think he might have had a chance to win. |

I think Wendie Malick with the goiter episode would still lose to Melissa McCarthy. It's pretty obvious she would win regardless of the tapes. Dana Delany did submit Smiles of a Summer Night to the panel, and still didn't make top 10. Actually, that episode was more of a showcase from Marcia Cross. Her scene with Orson in the kitchen was golden. Not sure if January Jones' A Night to Remember would beat Glenn Close's Trust Me. Close had like five minutes of crying and fearing for her life. That was too baity to pass over. |

OMG! I completely forgot about that little gem of the show. She was extraordinary in that role! Absolutely deserved every single award in TV biz for her work during 2nd season. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. |

I think she would have won. Voters clearly wanted to see situation comedy with laugh track and from the nominees only McCarthy had it. If nominated and submitted that episode I think Malick would have won over McCarthy. But Malick that year was submitted supporting so...
Sadly we will never know what would have been the result that night. |

Well I know it's not fair to compare actor with actress performances , but Hugh Laurie had a scene where he cuts his leg open for some minutes and didn't win.

Sorry, I forgot Malick was contending in supporting. Well, she could have given Bowen a run for her money. |

2008 Matthew Fox, Lost "Something Nice Back Home"- Matthew Fox was just so great in this episode, he showed such a range of emotions and what was probably one of his best episodes in the series. Such a shame he never won an emmy. |

Jennifer Anniston in "The One with Ross' New Girlfriend" - really it wouldn't have mattered what she paired this episode with it was such a winner. But I guess along with either "The One Where Ross Finds Out" for her drunk scene/morning after or "The One with Barry and Mindy's Wedding" for singing Barry Manilow in the pepto-bismal dress would have made her unreachable. Phylicia Rashad "Clair's Liberation" - just a lot of great jokes and a brillant physical performance from Rashad as she starts to go through menopause (and tricks Cliff and others with her behavior). Maybe it wouldn't have beaten Kristie Alley in 1991, but it was really strong. |

Zach Gilford for his devastating work in "The Son" is one that stings the most. He should've been nominated, especially since that category was rolling seven deep w/named actors and only like three deserved slots. |

From Season 5 of The Golden Girls: Had she been nominated again, Rue McClanahan would have won for this scene alone! Such a funny scene! http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=54y-Mjxz9vw |

Rue McClanahan for The Golden Girls in 1992 with Journey To The Center of Attention. This is the episode in which she takes Dorothy to The Rusty Anchor and she sings I Want To Be Loved By You. This episode delivered the laughs and there was quite a bit of range. Beatrice Arthur for The Golden Girls in 1992 with Goodbye, Mr. Gordon. This is the epsiode in which her high school teacher comes to visit and asks for Dorothy's help in writing an article. She has a lot of range because we see a giddy Dorothy, a sad and dissapointed Dorothy and the sarcastic Dorothy. The highlight was below: Sophia - "What kind of pain and embarrasment has this lifestyle caused your mother?" Dorothy - "I really don't know, but I'll ask her tomorrow when I visit her at the hoooommmmmmmmee!!!!!" |
