I'm sure Kristen will want revenge on Marlena and John, and her hatred
of Marlena was really something, but she may also be eager to get
revenge on Susan for sending her to that harem where she ended up when
Davidson left the show. If that's the case, her relationship with EJ
could be a struggle between caring for him as the child she once tried
to raise with John and using him in her scheme to get even with his
mother. To answer your question, Boidiva, Kristen was kind of the classic story of a good girl gone bad. She started out a sweet, virtuous, and oh so naive, believing that her adopted father Stefano was a good and moral man in whom the people of Salem just saw the worst. She was even willing to give up John and marry Tony because she thought it was the right thing to do. That all changed because of an obsessive desire to hang on to John once she had him. When John was on trial for murdering Tony, Kristen admitted on the witness stand that she kinda sorta thought he was guilty. This was basically all it took for John and Marlena to feel justified admitting their feelings to themselves, and they became obvious to everyone, even though they never acted on them. For a while, Kristen was just being devious and manipulative, interrupting conversations all the time and making sure Marlena and John couldn't be alone together, but mostly keeping her vengeful angry side confined to solitary moments. That all changed when Kristen helped Stefano kidnap Marlena by giving him the information of what plane she'd be on. After that, it was a very slippery slope: Kristen lost the baby she was carrying and, through Stefano, found an imposter, Susan, to pretend to be her for doctor's appointments and whose baby she could take. She pushed John to marry her as soon as she could, and then kidnapped Marlena and locked her in secret room of the DiMera mansion, and comfy prison equipped with video from her and John's bedroom, just to torture Marlena. I think Kristen was kind of at a crossroads once her schemes were uncovered, but instead of being repentent and trying to get back to the good person she had once been, she totally embraced the DiMera in her. (Man, that was great stuff.) RE-HIRE CHRISTIE CLARK! |

Wow. that does help a lot. One question thought, what is an Island Harem? "Hearts are often broken When there are words unspoken In your soul there's answers to your prayers"- Whtiney Houston, Exhale |

This casting seems like YEARS in the making, but I am glad it has happened. I had always pictured Greg as Eric and him fitting and being properly utalized in this role as oppose to Lucky. |

As far as I remember, the island harem was just a group of women who were love slaves to some guy on an island. Fanning him and feeding him grapes, that sort of thing. Those youtube clips both warm my heart and crack me up. "Kristen, it is not too late for you to save your immortal soul!" "Yeah, it is. My soul's history." HA! Remember a couple of years ago there was news that DAYS was interesting in Greg Vaughn but he passed because they wanted him to audition, or something like that? I guess they have been trying to make this happen off and on for some time, so I'm glad it worked out. RE-HIRE CHRISTIE CLARK! |
