Of this group, it's a tough choice between Meagan Mullally and Valerie Harper. Harper was just such a great contrast to Mary Tyler Moore on her show and always provided the show with laughs (though I was a much bigger Phyllis fan). Mullally just constantly brough the laughs on her shows. She understood how to be outrageous, but how to also really bring some depth to the role. Yeah, I'll go for Mullally. A performance that always makes me laugh when I think about it. That voice. |

My thoughts are that your polls are pointed (pointless) and dumb. Also, you should stop making polls. Start a conversation, yes, but don't force a conversation based on your preferences. That's just silly. Don't be silly. And why would/should I ever rank those women? Time and place means a lot, and it's super unfair (and moronic) to compare them to each other. |

I have not watched most of the listed series, but I think Karen Walker is one of the greatest characters ever created. She was fantastic and should have won more than 2 Emmys. At least 4. |

Despite Tom locking the polls already, someone seems unstoppable. |

I don't think that we need a poll option for these questions.
For me, non of those are consider as the best, so I made my own list: TOP 1. Lisa Kudrow / Friends 2. Kim Cattrall / Sex and the City 3. Kathryn Joosten / Desperate Housewives (she was more supporting than guest...) Honorable mentions: Becki Newton / Ugly Betty Cynthia Nixon / Sex and the City Jane Lynch / Glee (of course not for Season 3) Dana Delany / Desperate Housewives (especially for Season 6) Kristen Chenoweth / Pushing Daisies Melissa McCarthy / Gilmore Girls |

I would have gone with Lisa Kudrow or Julia Louis-Dreyfus, but seeing they weren't one of those options I voted for the wonderful Megan Mullally. Out of the women who won during the 90s and 00s, I still cannot believe that Doris Roberts and Kristen Johnson both had multiple wins, when Kudrow and Dreyfus only won once! JOKE! |

At first, I participated in this. But now, it's getting ridiculous. Start discussions, but if you want to make polls put them in the aptly-named Polls thread.
The best album of the year so far. "Past Gone" is the best song of the year as well. Check out Mike Stud's debut album on iTunes. |

This is REALLY HARD! ugh. I would make it a tie between Estelle Getty, Betty White, and Vivien Vance. But i went with Estelle Getty because she was just Golden on that show! :) |

I totally agree with you. I am sick and tired of having polls on these friends such as Who is the best actress in the world? Who is the best actor in the world? Who is the best director in the world? I mean you can't just pick one.............. |

1st off...I put in people with mostly multiple wins. I picked Getty because she would be a popular choice. Bavier and Vance were added in order to include some older choices. Also, it's okay to have a favorite, and what's so bad about determining a favorite? You don't like these polls? Well, they're in the own separate forum page now, so just don't visit it then! Time and place does mean a lot, but that doesn't mean I should have a preference? I selected Bavier, because I grew up watching re-runs of The Andy Griffith Show with my mother and I always thought there was so much heart and soul added to Aunt Bee, even if Bavier disliked Andy Griffith in person....just showed her level of commitment to the role. |

Then again, no matter what forum you go to on here, there's always those people that whine and complain about every little thing that they're annoyed about in regards to the polls/comments/questions. We should have a separate (spam) forum page so they can just whine and complain there and we don't have to "hear" it... You have a better post topic/poll idea? Then do it and stop complaining. Also, Ron Paul never stood a chance. A spaghetti noodle stood a better chance of becoming the president than Paul. |

Where is Jackee Harry? She was hilarious as Sandra Clark on 227. I'm torn between Estelle Getty and Megan Mullally from this poll. I'll have to go with the latter. Karen Walker always cracked me up. |

I voted for Estelle Getty. No one could deliver one liners like Estelle. Also, she managed to upstage Bea, Betty and Rue quite a bit. |
