I've seen a few similar topics about other actors. Thought I'd start a discussion about the actress who, frankly, should have won last year. What season 4 episode do you think she should submit? My immediate instict is to go with the finale, "Win, Lose, or Draw." It's funny and upbeat and very emotional, particularly when Leslie votes for herself. It's a fantastic acting performance. However, as we saw when Steve Carell lost with "Goodbye Michael," the voters aren't necessarily as into those kinds of episodes when voting for comedy. What are your thoughts? |

"Win, Lose or Draw" -- for sure. She hit it out of the park on that episode. The gammut of emotions were run and it was pitch perfect. Mostly because of Poehler. "The Debate" is also very worthy, but I don't think that's the right choice. (Now, writing on the other hand...) Ultimately, I think it's interesting that it's going to come down to Louis-Dreyfus and Poehler (at least it should!) and they're both based on politics. I think Poehler's best tape trumps all though. Carell not winning last year was a disgrace. Almost a year later, it still irks me beyond belief. Mike Schur nailed it in a recent interview when he said many people just assume that Carell has multiple Emmy's for playing Michael Scott, but that's not the case. He does not have one. Poehler could very well suffer the same fate. |

| Isn't there a topic for Parks and Recreation? Or are we going to do this with every contender? | |

Yes. And someone should make a poll. ;) |

I think she should submit the last episode. i think its called like los, win or draw or something like that. But i just love her reactions when they were counting the votes.... and when she won. |

There is a "Parks" thread, but I think this is a good topic for a thread of its own. For Poehler's submission, I'm torn between "The Debate" (her great speech at the end) and "Win, Lose, or Draw" (perhaps a better overall episode). |

Win, Lose or Draw has a lot of range. It kinda felt like a winning tape. |

I think Win, Lose or Draw definitely trumps The Debate. When I watched it, I thought, "Amy Poehler HAS TO win the Emmy this year."

"Win, Lose or Draw." If she submits that episode the race will be over. Dreyfus, Deschanel, Fey and even Plimpton don't have episodes good enough to top that one. I know that Poehler is a reader of GoldDerby so hopefully this thread will prevent her from making a mistake.

I echo Win, Lose, or Draw. Poehler isn't even the best part of " The Debate" even though she's good in it. |

I didn't know that Poehler reads these boards, but I'm sure there are tons of celebrities who do and we never know. Since she does I think that's why this thread is necessary. Now I hope that she goes with the consensus of these boards and she submits "Win, Lose or Draw" and wins that Emmy in September. |

Last year Poehler read these boards and submitted "Flu Season," even though I was on team "The Fight."

I was so torn between Flu Season and The Fight last year, in retrospect I don't think anything was stopping McCarthy last year. She literally exploded. I was not, however, torn about her submission the previous year when she should have gone for Pawnee Zoo over Telethon. Pawnee Zoo kind of felt like a winning tape to me too. |
