The only thing that is keeping me from predicting Laura Dern for a deserved nomination is that her show has been off the air for awhile now and this "alleged" Golden Globe curse. But more of the former though in my reasoning.

Chris Colfer,Max Greenfield and Nick Offerman are battling each other for the 5th and 6th spot. And I think is going to be Chris and Max because of Nick Offerman history with the Emmys.

Does anyone else think people are overthinking supp actress comedy?
In my eyes, it is pretty straightforward:
- NBC lasses Krakowski and Wiig will be back for their fourth time
- Leachman and White will fill the veteran status (thus no room for Joosten)
- Bowen and Vergara are locks due to fact they are on the most successful sitcom on TV right now
- due to Glee's huge drop in quality Lynch won't make it back in

That's how I see it too. Seems to be one of the easier categories to predict this year.

Unlike guest actor comedy. I have no idea what it is going to look like. MJF, Fallon and Will Arnett seem to be very likely, but I could see either one miss out eventually. Same for Alan Alda. After a couple of veterans missing out last year, I don't know what to expect here anymore.
And if you wanna make sense

Guest actor comedy really is interesting. MJF and Fallon are probably locks. Arnett is probably the closest thing to a lock (and deservedly so).

From there, it's an open field. Lots of people are predicting Matt Bomer, but Glee was shut out of this category last year after having two nominees and winning in the first year so I'm skeptical.

30 Rock has always had at least two nominees in this category ever since 2008, so will the streak end this year? Jon Hamm has a tendancy to get nominated for his 30-second long 30 Rock performances and this year may be no different. I am not predicting him but I wouldn't be surprised to see him in there. I would even nominate Will Forte simply for that Live Episode where he flies down into the studio singing dressed as cupid.

As for other shows, I think Paul Rudd has a strong chance of a nomination for Parks and Rec as Amy Poehler clueless but well-meaning and surprisingly nice competitor Bobby Newport in the race for city council. Louis CK could also be nominated from the same show. His guest spot truthfully wasn't that great but it looks like he's becoming an Emmy darling.

From there the competition thins out. You have some more guys from SNL and 30 Rock, some HBO people, some veterans, Hugh Dancy and the surprisingly unmentioned Doug Stanhope from Louie. He's in my last spot. I think he gets in. He was amazing.

Will Forte and James Marsden are the only ones of 30 Rock I'd like to see nominated, but their chances are indeed slim. I agree that it seems unlikely that someone from Glee makes it in this year. Same for MF male guest stars.
Mick Jagger might have a shot, though this would be undeserved. I assume Paul Rudd has been guesting on a number of shows before and never was nominated. why now with a show that's been getting very little love by the Emmys?
I don't know you could make a case for and against anybody. Still, I must say I don't really care about this category at all.

I don't even remember who were last year's guest actors on Glee (Mike O'Malley was supporting). They got 2 nods in the guest actress category (and they won with Paltrow). If Glee has a shot this year, it's for that guest actor performance.

Now that I think about it... is there any chance Betty White gets snubbed? The voters probably watched last year's tapes (hence Jule Bowen win) so they should have probably noticed that it's Wendie Malick who's the star of the show not Betty. So maybe there's a small chance that it's actually gonna be Wendie who will be nominated not Betty.

That's my theory behind Josh Charles getting (rightfully) nominated last year.

I would jump for joy if Betty got snubbed.

No nomination would make me happier than if Doug Stanhope gets in for "Louie."  That was a dangerous and extraordinary performance.
