Series episodes were turned in during the spring, but they CAN make changes to the titles and pairings now that the nominations have been announced. Guest actors also turned in their episode choices in the spring but can't make changes. |

Girls Tape A: Pilot and The Return Tape B: Hannah's Diary and Leave Me Alone Tape C: Welcome to Bushwick a.k.a. The Crackcident and She Did Modern Family (these are almost impossible for me to pick and pair up): Tape A: When Good Kids Go Bad and Baby On Board Tape B: Go Bullfrogs! and Virgin Territory Tape C: Door to Door and Little Bo Bleep 30 Rock Tape A: The Tuxedo Begins and Standards and Practices Tape B: Kidnapped by Danger and Murphy Brown Lied to Us Tape C: St. Patrick's Day and Live from Studio 6H (Two of my fave episodes this season are not even on this list. I loved People are Idiots, Two!, but it would be weird not to pair it with People are Idiots, Three!, and there are just too many better episodes than that. And I seemed to be the only one who actually liked the second Queen of Jordan episode more than the first.) Curb Your Enthusiasm Tape A: "The Divorce" & "Palestinian Chicken" Tape B: "The Smiley Face" & "The Bi-Sexual" Tape C: "Mister Softee" & "Larry vs. Michael J. Fox" The two episodes on the first tape were both nominated for Directors Guild Awards this year and "Palestinian Chicken" was nominated for the equivalent category at the Emmys, so they have a history with being liked by voters. Tape B comprises what might be the two funniest episodes of the season. The final act of "Mister Softee" has to be in and the voters also seem to like "Larry vs. Michael J. Fox" since they nominated it for guest actor (compare "The Hero"), so that is also a good choice. |
