I was just curious to see how many we could list. By streaks I mean a string of consecutive movies by one Actor/Actress that were well/very well received critically. Oscar nominations are not necessary, but they can help you in your quest to find these streaks. I think we could consider 3 or more movies a streak, don't you agree? Here are some examples: Al Pacino: 1973-1975: Scarecrow, Serpico, The Godfather: Part II, Dog Day Afternoon. Tom Hanks: 1993-2002: Sleepless in Seattle, Philadelphia, Forrest Gump, Apollo 13, Toy Story, That Thing You Do!, Saving Private Ryan, You've Got Mail, Toy Story 2, The Green Mile, Cast Away, Road to perdition, Catch Me If You Can (arguably, this streak may have stopped in 1998 with "You've Got Mail", but that movie wasn't exactly badly received so I decided to keep it going) Leonardo DiCaprio: 2002-2006: Catch Me If You Can, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed, Blood Diamond Any others you can come up with? |
