I never thought I would see the day! I get it was about money, but I thought they would've at least tried to work something out. IDK wheather it was CBS or Sony that told Maria to not kill Lily off when she had cancer and didn't they also step in when Daniel Goddard was fired too? And that pairing is also popular w/focus groups, which JFP loves apparently. I like the wishful castings Jamey at DC did for Khalil and the character of Lily. I see Christel being perfect as Maya on GH and Shannon Kane would be all kinds of sex and awesome as nuLily. Make it happen soap gods. |

^^ I saw those too and panicked because I don't want her anywhere near my screen ever again. I hate being a hater, but Khalil had ample opportunity to do good work on Y&R and half her work was awful and the other half was even worse. Besides the fact that she looks too young to play a doctor and Kane looks to old to be Lily. Shannon Kane as Maya could work though. |

Khalil's interview w/MSN Hmm. One would think there would be some common ground coming here since she is one of the stars of the show and just won an Emmy, but I guess not. |

^^ It's nice that she is fighting for what she thinks she is worth, but considering the exits of Eileen Davidson and Ronn Moss happened right under her nose she should have known that being demanding would not get her very far. |

Yeah, I've never been much a fan of Khalil's acting, and maybe this parting is for the best. I don't at all like the idea of her as Maya on GH. I'm not saying that she should never be on anything again, but I don't think heavy emotion is her current forte. And boy oh boy did I hate her and Daniel Goddard together as Cane and Lily, so joy for that. (I was going to say they were the worst, but no one else can be the worst on Y&R now that Sharon and Victor have been paired.)

Praise the LORD! And Cane can right along with her. The valley girl accent is just too much. And didn't she refuse to be paired up with any black co-stars (not that there are any)? Dru's daughter needs to have edge or at least some vitality, Khalil has none of that. |

Both Cane and lIly keep being given the worst material on the show. The extreme uselessness of Cane is amazing. |
