Has Coldplay ever gone pop before? Do they stand a better chance here? |

If Aguilera releases in time, she'll have a good chance with 'Your Body' in Best Pop Solo Performance, since it's rumored to be a good vocal work. I mean, she's won 4 grammys in this field out of 18 nominations, 6 of those were for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. |

Glee was previously nominated in Pop Performance by a Group and Compilation Soundtrack. It's not Traditional Pop at all.
No, non riuscirai mai a capire cosa c'è scritto. Ma non importa.

Why is everyone listing Mylo Xyloto in pop ? They are sure leaning towards a more electronic sound but I still think they should be submitted for Rock. I can't regard it as a pop album... And so should be Making Mirrors by Gotye. Some Nights by Fun. might be submitted for Alternative album. |

they are listed here just as a possibility because till we see the entry lists, we do not know where those albums will be submitted. |

Isn't Florence a solo artist? If I remember correctly, she was submitted as a solo artist previously. I mean, I know she has a backing band, but then again, so do a lot of artists. Anyway, I'm rooting for her and Kelly Clarkson in the Pop Field. |

i can't wait for the submission lists as only then we will know where albums by Rihanna, Coldplay, John Mayer, fun., Gotye, Florence + The Machine & No Doubt will end up. i think it can look like this: Rihanna, Talk That Talk -> Urban Coldplay, Mylo Xyloto -> Rock John Mayer, Born And Raised -> either Americana or Folk fun. -> Alternative Gotye -> Alternative Florence + The Machine -> Alternative No Doubt -> Pop with No Doubt, Pink, Maroon 5, Justin Bieber & Kelly Clarkson nominated in Pop Album. still, One Direction is the best selling pop album released in 2012... |

^I think you're probably right about Rihanna and Coldplay, though No Doubt could submit to Rock as well, but again, I think you're probably right. Florence + The Machine submitted to Rock previously, so they could again, though I can definitely see them trying for Alternative this time. |
