I get it probablyROB ;) and I, for one, find it amusing as well.

Although, come to think of it, I did have a problem at the time how neither Chris nor Matt instantly corrected him or corrected him at all until the commenters brought it up.

And it is weird that Tom never realized that it contradicted what was widely published on this site.

Chris did say it though that reps sometimes change their episodes without informing GoldDerby of the change. Seeing that the episodes were included in the official DVD, I would assume also that the episode in the DVD was the correct one. I don't see why they must vehemently ask Tom to check whether what he said is true since, as long as I know, that there have no reports of a mix up of episodes before this part. And Tom, if I'm not mistaken, said that he only received the official DVDs only the week before after the voting was closed. So not that Tom had this information for ages and only shared it now. We are only knowing this because the rep saw the video and contacted ATAS. I don't think I'm ideolizing Tom cos I do feel that he can be a little off at times, like how Smash would get nominations or how Chris Colfer would win last year. But in this case, I don't think he appears condescending. He's just saying that's not the case because it was on the official DVD.

That is so confusing. You were wrong. Let's move on.

Or wait, maybe you didn't know that the guest tapes are narrowed down to only the person's nominated scenes. | sorry if I sound condescending, rude or something of that nature. I don't want to seem like a bitch. There's enough people here with their egos up to their neck, I dont want to be another one. :)

But YOU'RE wrong. You can't say let's move on and get the last word when you lie. That's not how human contact is supposed to work. It's like...my least favorite trait. YOU said "Didn't you see? Every year where there has been 3 or more actors nominated in the same category for the same show, one of those actors/actresses wins."

From TV12's post: "There have been 3 nominees from one show in a single category 20 times, and only 7 times have they lost.
-In 1983, the guys on Hill Street Blues lost James Coco from St. Elsewhere.
-In 1985 and 1988, the guys of Cheers lost to Emmy darling John Larroquette from Night Court.
-In 1989, the ladies of The Golden Girls lost to the Emmy darling Candice Bergen from Murphy Brown and the ladies of L.A. Law lost to Melanie Mayron from Thirtysomething.
-In 1994, the girls of NYPD Blue lost to Leigh Taylor-Young from Picket Fences.
-In 1997, the ladies of ER lost to Kim Delaney from NYPD Blue."

I do NOT see.

I know I'm basically contradicting myself, but if you read my whole post, I do it there as well. The problem with all of these losses and even the wins is that this was when supporting tapes were edited down to only each actors' scenes for both episodes (back when they submitted two). Therefore, the only judge for 3+ nominations where all actors shared scenes is the Modern Family actors. So Maxwell Grey was actually more correct, if you get my drift.

Yes, BUT, in jjjmoss's defense, and I guess mine, since I was the one who wrote the apparently confusing comment about basic probability, there's still the Candance Bergen win in lead.  Isn't that a category where they were submitting full episode and not just a version edited down to that actor's scenes?  How many times have there even been three or more actors from one show nominated in the lead category?  If you only count races where the judges would have watched the entire episodes, the odds might still not be terrible.

Also, I get where people are coming from with asking for a new judging panel to make things fair in the Deschanel/Greenfield goof, but them getting an extra episode each doesn't seem to me like it should necessarily warrant such extreme action.  It seems no more or less fair than how an actor is helped or harmed by additional episodes from co-stars being nominated in the same category.  It's not fair for Greenfield to get two episodes but it is fair for Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, etc. to get four?  Greenfield and Deschanel aren't in the same category, but they're getting the effect as if they were.  To me, it seems we can't possibly make a to-do about this without demanding reform so no actor gets more than his or her one allotted episode somehow, no matter how many co-stars are nominated with them.

And I agree, Deschanel is more hindered than helped by having the judges see Control.

But it is not about the judges seeing however many number of episodes.  For me, it is about Deschenal having no chance because people already have preconceived notions about what their final ballots are.
