I'm still cringing at the thought of Britney Spears judging vocal talent. At least she looks cute in those pics. Girlfriend loves a mini-dress. |

Wow she looks damn good! I'm very excited to see how this will turn out, and I would like to hear what kind of criticism she gives. Jason looks very cute too. |

Here's a video of the judges' arrival (First when they arrived at the Arena, then when they walk on to the stage/desk): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=No3F9oFfIgk&feature=player_embedded#!

Heard the first critique Britney did where she and Demi disagree. If it is any indication of how she is going to be, she is going to be worthless. I mean, to tell the first kid who auditions that he could be bigger than the next Justin Beiber?? Really??? Is she going to overpraise everyone like this? I am interested to see how this turns out, but hopefully she isn't one of those judges who loves and praises everyone because she doesn't have the balls to actually do her job and judge because she doesn't want to hurt any feelings. |

Two points to make: 1. X-Factor is not a vocal singing contest. The purpose of the program is to discover the next "star" who posesses an overall package of presence, talent, personality, etc. Sure, vocal ability could be a part of the package. But this is not squarely a "who has the best voice" contest. For that, look to "The Voice" or "American Idol". To say Britney is not fit to judge a vocal contest is probably true. It's why she's on X-Factor and not The Voice or Idol. 2. We all knew that Britney coming on to X Factor was a ratings ploy. Of course Britney is going to shower all contestants with puppies and rainbows, the same way that Paula and JLo have done. If you're expecting Britney Spears to be overtly critical of a young performer on TV, you'll be holing your breath for a while. Simon knew exactly what he was getting with Britney coming on board. She's Britney Spears, not Judge Judy. Her job won't be to bring honesty to the judging table. It will be to increase raitings. People who are complaining about how Brintey is too nice ALREADY should just not bother to watch the program. |

Britney is looking fierce! She cleans up extremely well and that Pink mini is super sexy. Oh and she did give some negative feedback already and has been said to be quite humorous from the first taping. The audience went bananas for her and Demi. Simon made a very wise decision to bring these two ladies on. The X-Factor wasn't quite strong with the younger audience last season, that should now change.

New X-Factor interview with FOX news. She's actually holding herself pretty well. It looks like her conservatorship is nearing its end. She's actually talking and totally unscripted. Cue card Britney is gone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvG_Cob1OQU&feature=player_embedded Britney Spears Is an 'Incredibly Tough' X Factor Judge By Julie Jordan Monday June 11, 2012 11:30 AM EDT ![]() Britney arriving to X-Factor auditions in Kansas City Simon Cowell is not the only one who knows how to play hard-to-please on The X Factor. During auditions in Kansas City – where Cowell was out sick – Britney Spears proved she was taking her new job very seriously. "She's got a really good instinct, and when she loves something, she looks like she wants to dance on the desk," a source tells PEOPLE. "When she doesn't like someone, she is incredibly tough." Her tough side came out over the weekend, when she told one disappointed singer, "You have to be great to be on this show, so [I vote] no." RELATED: The X Factor Judges Walk Out of Kansas City Auditions During another audition, Spears and the other judges – Demi Lovato, L.A. Reid and Cowell stand-in Louis Walsh – walked off the set when a contestant refused to face the panel as he sang. But, according to the source, Spears has a soft side too, which she displayed when she heard one little girl with a big voice. The young contestant, who sang "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" from Dreamgirls, told the panel that if she won, she'd use some of the $5-million prize to take care of her family, so they would never have to be homeless again. "Whoa! I don't even believe you're real," Spears, smiling, told the aspiring singer after a chills-inducing performance. "Was that just a track? You are amazing! Holy cow! You are a little woman, and you're going to soar." As for Spears, since joining X Factor last month, "she's really massively grown in confidence," the source told PEOPLE. "She loves interesting and fun auditions and is prepared to stick her neck out and support someone no matter if some of the other judges disagree." People Magazine |

I'd rather have Britney do this, since we all knew Christina does the "actual judging" on The Voice and how many countless beyotches comments we've heard they've thrown her. So not only is it safe, but I guess it's the better thing for Britney not to follow thru. Of course, this will generate again another Britney vs. Christina rivalry, but as real fans, it's evident that they are pretty casual with each other and are not affected anymore by this rivalry. |

I honestly think this is the worst move she could've made. Isn't this the part of the job she doesn't enjoy? With the cameras on her all the time? All that pressure? I'm confused. I am still under the impression that she is 100% unstable and should actually take a long break to focus on her kids -- she doesn't need the money, obviously. Something about her recently has really made it seem like she's just floating through, and doing this kind of thing just to stay relevant/in the spotlight appears to be the worst thing for her. She's too fragile |

I didn't know "Blackout" was inducted into the ROCK N ROLL Hall of Fame music archives!! That's a good look for Britney. She isn't eligible as an artist until 2023 though. ![]() |
