I think Damon, Downey, Hanks and specially Jonah Hill could be the best possibilities out of that group. Ashton needed it more for 2.5 Men and didn't do it. I love Sofia Vergara a lot, but I already feel embarrassed for her if she ever gets to host. Half of the sketches will be about screaming, the other half with the over the top accent....or both. I'd rather see January Jones host again. If we're talking about Zoo, then Scarlett Johanson could also be considered. Previous (very good) host and more likely than any of the other women on that list. And with Young Adult, Patton Oswalt has been getting serious supporting actor buzz. Proven comedian in serious need of publicity and attention if he's actually that good in the movie. Or is he too little of a star? What about Glenn Close? Or is this too low brow for how serious, prestigious "movie/actress" her campaign seems to be this year? She could rock it, I think. Or maybe she'll need it more in January since critics will be a huge part of her campaign with awards in december. (She's hosted twice, last time in 92). |

I can't picture Daniel Craig, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Colin Firth or Madonna doing it. If any of them did, I would hope for Damon or RDJ. Bullock would be fun, depending on whether the writers can rise to her level. She's hysterical. Hanks has hosted in the past, and his Short Term Memory character was always fun. But would he do it this late in life? Yet to be seen, I suppose. Rob Lowe's dryness seems like a perfect fit, but SNL is on NBC. Doesn't hurt. Like someone else said, Sofia Vergara is funny, but the sketches would all be about either an obnoxious neighbor or an over-the-top foreigner. They would pigeon-hole her. I'd say Jonah Hill will probably be the pick. He's hosted before, and he's promoting a comedy, so... that's my logic, anyway.

COLD OPEN: GADDAFI'S GHOST - A few chuckles, but the timing was a bit odd for this open |

CHARLIE DAY'S MONOLOGUE - A decently funny and a really good monologue, with a great cameo from Danny DeVito - and a nice musical touch to wrap it up KIM'S FAIRYTALE DIVORCE - A really funny clip (and that's from someone who isn't a Kardashian fan, being honest there) THE DR. OZ SHOW - Absolutely insane and really good, with Charlie in good form |

So far, it's been a pretty good show. I don't watch "Sunny" so I didn't know what to expect from him, but he's been good. The Kardashian skit was AWESOME! I've liked most everything, didn't care for the Cee-Lo sketch. The comic thing was OK. I turned it over during the Maroon 5 song because I LOATHE that song. They might as well have gotten Nickelback. WU has been good. Hader as Rick Perry was fantastic. Kristen as Judy "Just Kidding" Grimes was funny. I guess I'll use this account instead of my old just BamaEd account. I had friend requests through this one haha |

WEEKEND UPDATE - Not bad - Bill Hader as Rick Perry: almost like Stefon - breaking character or making it look like he is = still funny, though - Kristen Wiig as Judy Grimes: mile-a-minute, fast-paced brilliance |

Dolphin, eh. My Heart's a Stereo - a God awful annoying song. I really need to find Adam Levine and punch him in the face for those 2 songs. Blech. And I used to like him. |
