The New Gold Derby is all about giving award nuts a nifty way to predict the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, etc., and dish with fellow kudos nuts. That means you can now predict the Primetime and Daytime Emmys plus Tony Awards right here.

Sign in. (Use your Facebook hookup -- it's the easiest way to manuever around). Here, above, go to "My Account" on the gray menu bar and go to your "Predictions" link. There you'll find drop-down menus empowering you to log your predix. And not just here, but linking them to Facebook if you'd like to share them with friends. Soon you'll be able to vote for the Gold Derby TV Awards (and, later, our film awards) here too.

In your same member area here, you can befriend fellow Derbyites so that you can send them messages easily.

Here in these forums, post freely, please. You can even upload photos -- for your profile photo, for siggies (see mine below that I resurrected from the Old Gold Derby Days) and here within your posts in these forums! Soon you'll even have photo album areas in your profile section.

Looking good so far, Tom! Will there be any improvements to the Quick Reply/Advanced Reply boxes? Perhaps

the ability to stretch the box and make it wider, as we're able to do at The Envelope. It really makes a difference

when typing at length. I've also had some issues with text bleeding together while typing. All issues I imagine

will be fixed over time.

Looks as if the bottom of the text is cut off. Lol

I've noticed problem with the text in the reply entry boxes. It smashes the lines of paragraphs together and it's hard to move the cursor around.

Oh, and I just tried to quote a previous post and don't think it worked, LOL.

Same here, Daniel. When I attempted to quote your latest post, it took me straight to the Quick Reply page.

And one more thing: When I was dragging-and-dropping my predictions for the Tony Awards (really cool feature, by the way), it would not let me "Save & Exit." I can to literally close the entire tab on my Firefox, pull up a new tab, and re-enter the site completely.

I really like that prediction feature, though.

The main forum page also says that 368 registered forum members are online right now.

Which wouldn't be a problem except that, at the moment, that is impossible.

I'll second the issues with the quick reply. I was having issues setting up my grades -- random spaces in

between text, sentences smashing together, etc...

I don't know if it's just me, but I can't put in predictions for the Primetime Emmys. It's not showing up on the drop down menu.

I was wondering if there was a way to change the username. You can change your name in your profile, but I don't see an option to edit your username (the name that appears when you post in the forum). Pretty much everybody knows my name, but I might start to miss my 742 moniker.

One problem I'm having with the forums right now is that I'm not a Super Moderator like Daniel is. That probably the biggest issue with the new site, in my opinion.

Tom/Anyone, is the 'Awards Calendar' somewhere around here? With all the cool dates and such. It may be and I'm just a really bad/lazy searcher.

On the suggestion side: it would be cool if - like FB - there was a little "like" tab when you completely agree with someone's post, but don't want to just re-spot it or say the exact same thing. Again with the bad/lazy.
