Does anybody else have an issue where, if they write something that takes longer than about 6 or 7 minutes to type, when they click “post” it diverts them to the login screen and makes them re-log in, then makes them retype the whole thing again?

I recall reading about this elsewhere, but I’ve never seen it brought to the admin’s attention.

Yeah, you need to copy everything that you type before posting.

Easiest way is to highlight and ctrl + c. If it happens to log you out, then ctrl + v. Some people mess around with word docs and stuff…

anyone else finding that using emoticons now wipes out your post including whatever other post you are quoting/responding to?

Yep, oddly, the same thing happened to me once when I tried adding an emoticon to the end of a somewhat longer post. After selecting the emoticon, something funky happened and the entire page suddenly got refreshed, wiping out my entire post! Lucky for me, I’d made a copy of it just beforehand, so thankfully I had a back-up. I guess my take-away lesson was: always remember to CTRL+C your post before adding an emoticon, just to be on the safe side!
