Jen is probably the best actress of our generation. I have an issue with your order in that I would definitely put mother! ahead of Joy. Joy was a solid film largely elevated by a remarkable performance from Jen, but it’s not particularly memorable. mother! is a brilliant, insanely original, unique classic that’s unlike any other movie out there.
I agree with you. I love ‘Joy’ and would rather watch it than ‘mother!’ but Jennifer’s performance in ‘mother!’ is in a category that goes beyond mere acting. I think ‘mother!’ shows Jennifer at her best (so far)
You put ‘American Hustle ‘above Winter’s Bone. I can’t imagine any Jennifer Lawrence fan agreeing with that. I would put Serena above Hustle but that is merely my opinion.
I could not agree or disagree with the ranking because I felt that all her acting in those movies were the best depending on the character she was portraying. It’s more of theme of the story that would affect my ranking so Silver Lining, Winterbone, Hunger Games & Joy could be top of my list. I wish she would have Chris Pine, Matthew McConaughey & Christian Bale in a movie.
