"Take Care" is nominated for four VMAs; it also competes for Video of the Year, Best Male Video, and Best Art Direction. This is the first nomination in this category for a Drake video.
This is the only VMA nomination for "Someone Like You." It's the second consecutive Cinematography nomination for an Adele video; her "Rolling in the Deep" won the category last year.
"Princess of China" is also nominated for Best Direction. This is the third Cinematography nomination for a Coldplay video, following "Speed of Sound" and "Viva La Vida."
"Born to Die" is also nominated for Best Art Direction. These are the first VMA nominations for a Lana Del Rey video.
"Bad Girls" is nominated for two other VMAs: Best Direction and Video of the Year. These are the first nominations for an M.I.A. video.
