George Lucas would’ve won over Woody Allen. But Star Wars was not then not will it ever be a better film than Annie Hall. Which would’ve also won Original Screenplay.
Driving Miss Daisy, Ordinary People, Robert Redford, Kramer vs Kramer, Robert Benton would still win today.
In this day, without Harvey’s scandal of course, Shakespeare proba…[Read more]
My mind immediately goes to Christoph Waltz who won twice for the same performance and has given the same performance many times after each win.
I may have finally seen something different in Downsizing, but it wasn’t enough.
He’s not the worst of actors. But I did think of him before anybody else.

Here’s an annoying prediction:
5-10 years from now, some of you will cool it down a bit. You’ll realize this isn’t as important and that it makes no sense to waste so much time in these threads anymore, arguing and fighting about the same damn actresses and defending people that don’t really mean anything personal to you and don’t even know you…[Read more]
The show is nice. I didn’t watch any season 1 episodes, but for some reason I ended up watching the first 2 from season 2.
Jonathan is awful, annoying and tries way too hard. The other 4 are…fine, I guess?. In any group of 5 somebody has to be boring and I guess that’s the interior design guy. Not that the other 3 are much better, but at lea…[Read more]

Well that’s their problem. And it’s a weird problem, because even if she was considered a lock for a nomination by many, nobody ever considered her a frontrunner for the actual win. Nobody.
BenitoDelicias replied to the topic ‘Dancing with the Stars’ What do you think of pros announcement? in the forum Reality TV 5 days ago
Yes! Elizabeth Berkley should’ve won that season.
And Tori Spelling is the classic “star” who you wonder why the hell she hasn’t been on yet. Like Charo who could’ve been on the show from Season 1 all the way up to whatever season she was on. I think it was last year.
Also, Wes Bentley? Lol.
Paula Abdul being on this show was my first reaction…[Read more]
I think you posted every single look ever….jk.
One that I think I didn’t see there is Shea Coulee’s lipsync look. The twin challenge.
Katya’s brown tracksuit.
Asia’s bird look and her clown look.
Miz Cookie’s look.
That was a nice episode. Nobody can be surprised that there’s a top 4 for the finale. They couldn’t have said “I didn’t expect to see Kameron here” more times. He deserves it though.
I would’ve voted out Asia if somebody needed to go.
The challenge was great, not a fan of the musical yet. I think the last three were so great, specially K…[Read more]
If you thought Solo was an unnecessary film, what’s this supposed to be?
What a stupid fucking film. I’m sure Gary Ross charged a lot for this which is ridiculous because he just went to Soderbergh School and that’s it. It was the same thing. He did absolutely nothing of his own. It looked exactly the same.
The characters were just awful, extre…[Read more]

DREAMGIRLS was called a winner here on GoldDerby early on. Didn’t they go to Cannes and show a preview? And even then talk continued about it winning.
Of course at that point The Departed, Little Miss Sunshine, Babel weren’t a thing. The Queen wouldn’t have been anybody’s early choice. Letters from Iwo Jima was a very late entry.
Then people…[Read more]
The movie wasn’t THAT great. But it was good enough. I also think it was a bit long.
Alex Wolff really was the MVP here. Toni Colette was amazing but she had some moments here and there where I did’t feel she was very good. Mainly reactions and scary faces.
But it was scary, tense and very enjoyable. “That scene” in the car was pretty amazing.
BenitoDelicias replied to the topic Reese Witherspoon returns as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde 3 in the forum Movies 1 week, 3 days ago
The second one was very bad. She should’ve done some skit on SNL, Kimmel or Fallon if she really wanted to return to this role. A 19 year older Elle Woods shouldn’t be as fun as watching her in the original film. It would just be sad to watch somebody act like that at that age.
And the second one proved that and it was only a few years lat…[Read more]
Miss Vanjie I think is 100% in for Season 11. It would have to be another “I’m just too busy and still too relevant to go again but I’ll happily do it in the future” situation for her not to come back.
The leaked list for AS4 really is better than last season. If it really features the three token girls from season 9, it’s already better. F…[Read more]
Yes at the Oscars. The “snubbed” part was because we don’t know if she’ll deserve it yet, or if it’ll just be a Globe contender because of their comedy/musical category and that’s it. She’s a lock at the Globes as is the film and possiby Miranda (if he goes Lead which if he’s even slightly over the edge, will be submitted because it could be an…[Read more]

Anthony Bourdain has died. Apparent suicide.
Looks boring. Nothing looked exciting except for that final shot with the black thing.
In the previous one you could tell Rooney Mara went through shit for this role. Meanwhile with this lame trailer, I can imagine Foy wearing a wig and a fake nose ring.
Blunt can get “snubbed” for Mary Poppins. The film looks like a lock for Comedy/Musical nod and then miss the BP Oscar nod. I suppose Lin Manuel Miranda too.
A Star is Born can suffer the same fate as Barbra’s version, with the exception of Best Score.
