Will Jimmy Smits be submitted in supporting? If so, he is deserving of a nomination.
Viola for lead Actress
Jimmy Smits for Supporting Actor
Liza Weil for Supporting Actress
Cicely Tyson for Guest Actress
Glynn Turman for Guest Actor
Sorry, but Ben Delacreme and Kennedy Davenport were the clear winners. People keep saying that Milk ruined Trixie’s chance to win. Even if Milk was not in Trixie’s way, Trixie still would not have been top 2.
I just saw Three Billboards and it does not deserve to win Best Original Screenplay over Get Out and Lady Bird. If Three Billboards wins Original Screenplay then it will be for reasons other than the quality of the screenplay.
Emmyfan replied to the topic Golden Globes: If Supporting was also split into Drama and Comedy in the forum Movies 2 weeks, 2 days ago
Supporting should be split. It is unfair that the supporting categories are combined and the lead are not. Sometimes the supporting roles breath life into a movie.
People complain about too many categories, but it is the pacing of the show that might affect why people feel this way.
Emmyfan replied to the topic What do you think AMPAS should do to stop category fraud? in the forum Movies 2 weeks, 4 days ago
Maybe a committee that reviews and determines the placement of nominees. It is annoying when someone who is clearly lead in a movie ends up in the supporting category.
Ruby Dee gave a good performance in her two scenes, but it was too short of a performance to be nominated for an Oscar in my opinion. However, Jacki Weaver did nothing in her scenes in Silver Lining Playbook.
I think that Mariah would have had Phil Collins and Wilson Phillips as serious competition for Pop Album in 1991.
If R&B Collaboration would have existed as a category, then I’ll Be There would have probably won in 1993.
Sorry, but The Pointer Sisters get my vote. They won a Grammy for Country Duo or Group for Fairy Tale, Pop Duo or Group Grammy for Jump and have received other Grammy nominations in R&B, Country and Pop. Each of them can sing and have sung on hits.
They also won a Grammy for Vocal Arrangement for Automatic.
Michael Jackson won Record of the Year for Beat It. The Police won Song of the Year for Every Breath You Take because of the split of votes when Michael Jackson’s Beat It and Billie Jean were both nominated.
BEST COMEDY ALBUM
The Age Of Spin & Deep In The Heart Of Texas
Jerry Before Seinfeld
A Speck Of Dust

Sorry, but the Whitney album should have won over The Joshua Tree. The only reason why The Joshua Tree won was because Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and Prince split the votes.
