Gold Derby's music experts David Schnelwar and Darrin Dortch agree about who will win and should win this last of the R&B categories.

Here are their takes on the other R&B categories: Best Urban/Alternative Performance, Best R&B Performance By A Duo or Group with Vocals, Best Male R&B Vocal Performance, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.

BEST R&B SONG
“Bittersweet” (performed by Fantasia)
“Finding My Way Back” (performed by Jaheim)
“Second Chance” (performed by El Debarge)
“Shine” (performed by John Legend and The Roots)
“Why Would You Stay” (Kem)

David's take: None of the five nominees for Best R&B Song are crossover hits or nominated in for Record of the Year or Song of the Year. "Shine" was written for the critically acclaimed documentary "Waiting for Superman." Being a previous six-time Grammy winner, John Legend gets a slight edge to win.

Will win: "Shine"
Should win: "Shine"
Spoiler: "Bittersweet"

Darrin's take: There isn’t a frontrunner in this category. “Bittersweet” was a huge hit on the R&B charts and El Debarge is in the middle of a comeback so both of those songs could spoil, but I suspect John Legend will end of winning this one on name recognition alone since he has five nominations this year.

Will win: "Shine"
Should win: “Shine”
Spoiler: “Bittersweet” and “Second Chance”
