Grammys to include Aretha Franklin tribute

Aretha Franklin is getting a musical get-well card from the recording academy at this Sunday's Grammy Awards. Five of music's reigning female artists will pay tribute to the Queen of Soul with a special performance of some of her classic hits.

Taking part are four-time Grammy champs Yolanda Adams and Christina Aguilera, Oscar and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson, country crooner Martina McBride, and current nominee Florence Welch

Franklin is a recipient of both the lifetime achievement and legend awards from the academy and the winner of a staggering 18 competitive Grammys. After surgery last December for an undisclosed ailment, Franklin was forced to cancel concerts but is said to be recovering well.

Franklin delivered one of the all-time great performances on the 1998 Grammy telecast. With just 30 minutes preparation, she sang Puccini's "Neesun Dorma" in tribute to ailing lifetime honoree Luciano Pavarotti.
