The 46th annual Academy of Country Music Awards did well for CBS Sunday night, with an average audience of just under 13 million viewers for the three-hour kudocast. While that is about the same number as last year, the show was up in both adults 18-34 (+19%) and adults adults 18-49 (+3%). The ACM Awards ranked first in households (7.6/12), viewers (12.96m), adults 25-54 (4.2/10), adults 18-49 (3.3/09) and adults 18-34 (2.5/07).
Viewership peaked in the second of the show's three hours. The first hour, which was dominated by performances, rustled up 13.3 million, the second hour when Miranda Lambert won most her four awards attracted 13.6 million and the final hour, which concluded with Taylor Swift taking the top prize of Entertainer of the Year, kept the attention of 11.9 million people.
