Although nominations for the top Emmys number well into the double digits, they inevitably snub awards-worthy actors, actresses and TV series. To address this issue, the editors of Gold Derby are spotlighting performers and programs that voters might otherwise overlook.
Because there are simply too many worthy contenders for just one photo gallery, we created three. The first of these focused on actors, and the final one in the days to come will feature TV series. For now, we turn to the talented actresses who might miss out on well-deserved nods. Among those we showcase are leading ladies like Katey Sagal ("Sons of Anarchy") and Courtney Cox ("Cougar Town") as well as supporting players such as Martha Plimpton ("Raising Hope") and Sara Ramirez ("Grey's Anatomy").
