Reigning two-time champ Jim Parsons ("The Big Bang Theory") is heavily favored to win Best Comedy Actor again this year. He is the top pick for all 11 of our Experts, seven of our 10 Editors and the vast majority of our Users.
Two of our Editors are predicting victory for four-time also-ran Larry David ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") who is eligible once again with his show's return from hiatus.
Another foresees last year's surprise nominee Louis C.K. winning for the second season of his laffer "Louis."
While Parson's co-star Johnny Galecki is not expected to prevail, he is predicted to contend again as is two-time champ Alec Baldwin ("30 Rock").
There are two guaranteed openings in the category with the departure of Steve Carell ("The Office") and the ineligibility of Matt LeBlanc ("Episodes") due to no new episodes this season.
With new lead billing on his show, 2009 supporting champ Jon Cryer ("Two and a Half Men") could contend as could his new co-star Ashton Kutcher.
Among those still hoping for their first Emmy bid for their current laffers are: David Duchovny ("Californication"), Neil Flynn ("The Middle"), Billy Gardell ("Mike and Molly"), Ed Helms ("The Office"), Thomas Jane ("Hung"), Rob Lowe ("Parks and Recreation"), Joel McHale ("Community"), Lucas Neff ("Rasing Hope"), and Josh Radnor ("How I Met Your Mother").
And among the freshman funny men are: Tim Allen ("Last Man Standing"), Will Arnett ("Up All Night"), Don Cheadle ("House of Lies"), Warwick Davis ("Life's Too Short"), Rob Schneider ("Rob"), Jeremy Sisto ("Suburgatory"), and Elijah Wood ("Wilfred").
