In past years, repeat Emmy champs like Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Candice Bergen and Bill Cosby pulled themselves or their programs out of the derby in order to share the glory with other contenders. Jon Stewart's "The Daily Show" has hogged Best Variety Series for the past nine years and is heavily favored by Gold Derby's Experts, Editors and Users to triumph again.
