Grammys Grammy Awards rap album Drake Nas The Roots 2 Chainz Lupe Fiasco Rick Ross music entertainment news 13579086

Our two music awards editors -- Darrin Dortch and David Schnelwar -- agree on the winner of Best Rap Album at this Sunday's Grammys.

“Take Care” - Drake
“Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album, Pt. 1” - Lupe Fiasco
“Life Is Good” - Nas
“Undun” - The Roots
“God Forgives, I Don’t” - Rick Ross
“Based On A T.R.U. Story" - 2 Chainz

Darrin's analysis
Drake underperformed in nominations while Nas scored four surprise nominations.

As Drake’s album was a big seller, he is the frontrunner here, but Nas is a serious spoiler.

David's analysis
None of the nominees for Best Rap Album are nominated for Album of the Year.

Drake’s “Take Care” is the biggest seller of the six nominees.

Nas is nominated throughout the Rap Field and has yet to win a Grammy.

Lupe FiascoThe Roots and Rick Ross all have one nomination this year while 2 Chainz received two.
