Galifianakis plays Alan, one of a group of friends who black out following a wild bachelor party. He won this category two years ago for the original "Hangover," and he was nominated again last year for his performance in "Due Date."
Wiig plays Annie, a woman suffering a midlife crisis after her best friend announces her engagement. Wiig's nominations this year for Female Performance, Gut-Wrenching Performance, Ensemble Cast, and Comedic Performance are her first MTV Movie Award nominations.
McCarthy is also nominated for Breakthrough Performance, Gut-Wrenching Performance, and Ensemble Cast for her role as an oversexed bridesmaid in "Bridesmaids."
Jonah Hill plays a hapless cop going undercover as a high school student in "21 Jump Street." The actor, recently nominated for an Oscar for "Moneyball," was previously nominated for MTV Movie Awards for Best Comedic Performance and Breakthrough Performance for "Superbad."
