AMC is 'Dead' 'Mad' to make a 'Killing' at the Emmys

AMC struck Emmys gold in 2008 with a Best Drama Series win for "Mad Men" and has owned that award ever since. While "Mad Men" has yet to claim an acting prize, another AMC series -- "Breaking Bad" -- has showcased the reigning three-time Best Drama Actor champ Bryan Cranston as well as last year's Supporting Drama Actor Aaron Paul.

While "Mad Men" is back in the Emmys race for a fourth year in a row, "Breaking Bad" did not air any original episodes during the eligibility period. However, the cablecaster has three new drama series -- "The Killing," "The Walking Dead" and "Rubicon" -- that it is submitting for Emmys consideration.

GoldDerby has exclusively learned the entire slate of AMC's Emmys contenders. Elisabeth Moss of "Mad Men" is indeed shifting from supporting -- a race she lost last year to Archie Panjabi ("The Good Wife") -- back to lead where she was bested by Glenn Close ("Damages) in 2009. Both Moss and Jon Hamm are expected to submit "The Suitcase," which plays like a two-hander.
