This year, Lady Gaga was snubbed in the top races at the Grammy Awards. However, she did win both Pop Vocal Female Performance and Best Short Form Music Video for “Bad Romance” as well as Pop Vocal Album for the EP “The Fame Monster.”
Lady Gaga debuted her new ditty –“Born this Way” — on this year’s Grammys telecast. This dance track is the first from the upcoming album of the same name. She and Jeppe Laursen wrote the song and the pair produced it with Fernando Garibay and DJ White Shadow.
“Born this Way” set a new iTunes record, with more than one million downloads in the first five days. And it is the 1000th tune to be No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
She shot the seven-minute video version below on the weekend of Jan. 24 with Nick Knight directing. After a two-minute intro with Lady Gaga as the “manifesto of mother monster” talking of re-birth, there is an elaborately-choreographed dance routine showcasing the scantily-clad singer.
