Tony Awards nominations announced May 3

Nominees for the 65th annual Tony Awards will be revealed on May 3 during “The Early Show” on long-time host broadcaster CBS. The announcement will be made at the Performing Arts branch of the New York Public Library at Lincoln Center.

The following morning, many of the nominees will gather to meet the press. On May 31, all the contenders will gather for a private celebration of their acheivements at a luncheon held at the InterContinental Times Square.

The cut-off date for eligibility is April 28, with several shows set to debut in the week leading up to this. The kudos will be handed out on Sunday, June 12 during a three-hour telecast beginning at 8 p.m. ET. For the first time, the show will come from the Beacon Theatre on the Upper West side of Manhattan rather than their recent home at Radio City Music Hall in midtown.
